i wouldn't use the word 'upset'; rather it gets repetitive and old - fast.

if the topic is worded in way that seeks general information and/or feedback, i don't mind participating and offering some advice.

however, most of them are worded 'i'm such a nice guy, why did this happen?', 'i did everything for him, why doesn't he love me?', 'what can i do to win back her love?'.

you can't make someone love you, and one of the the hardest lessons of all is to love someone without expecting anything at all from them.

if you hold a bunch of sand clutched in a closed fist, it'll all seep through; but if you open your palm and let the sand rest there, you can keep it indefinitely.

i can't conjure up my sympathy or empathy for a person who fails to accept these simple concepts. they all seem to want sunshine blown up their butts and have their egos stroked. i'm not very good at either and, after years of reading the same types of people saying almost the exact words, i tend to lose my patience.
