Regarding National Emergency to get wall .....

False: DEA and DHS have already stated multiple times that the majority of drugs come through border crossings hidden in cars or in the cargo of tractor trailers. Other points of entry are cargo containers in seaports.

TRUMP: ... I went through Congress, I made a deal. I got almost $1.4 billion when I wasn't supposed to get $1 -- not $1. He's not going to get $1. Well, I got $1.4 billion, but I'm not happy with it.

From what I heard Democrats say on the news Trump wouldn't get any money for his wall and the nearly 1.4B is not for the wall. It is for replacing / repairing existing fence, equipment and tech for Border Patrol and improving ports of entry.

TRUMP: I didn't need to do this, but I'd rather do it much faster. And I don't have to do it for the election; I've already done a lot of wall for the election 2020.

If he didn't NEED to do it then it's not an emergency. Wanting to do it faster is a personal desire to fulfill a campaign promise and circumvent Congress and the Constitution. As to the part about having done a lot of wall ...0 wall...that's ZERO new wall has been constructed thus far. Only replacement/repair of existing fence.

Tariffs are paid by the importer not the expoerter. Tariffs are a border-tax on the buyer, not the seller; they make it more expensive for the buyer to import a good into the country. This is misleading. Since being an illegal is of itself a violation of Federal law it is expected that they would held in federal prisons. However when looking at the total incarcerated in the United States it is a miniscule percentage.

Separated migrant families demand millions from US agencies

"HOUSTON (AP) — Eight immigrant families who were separated under Trump administration policy filed claims Monday seeking millions of dollars in damages for what a lawyer called "inexplicable cruelty" that did lasting damage to parents and children".

But then again, I look at it another way too. The parents are directly 100% responsible for their actions and the consequences thereof. The US govt should fight each lawsuit all the way to the US Supreme Court. In addition, these lawsuits should be considered a clear and present danger to the national security of the United States, expanding US authority to apprehend and dispense justice to those violating US immigration law.
