I met someone on this site whom I email with regularly....but getting together anytime soon is probably unlikely as we live so far apart.....but isn't it better to get to know someone first as friends & test compatibility with the questions we ask?
Yeah that is great! I met a man on another site in 2004. He lived 2 hrs away. We hit it off right from the start, we talked IM and then phone for about 5 mos we met half way went out. Then he moved to be closer to me (15 minutes). Yeah, it was a waste of time. The more I got to see him on a reg basis, the more his true colors shown. He was nothing like he was on the phone. He was a user, liar and cheater. He played me from the start. I wasted almost 4 yrs thinking he would be who he claimed to be. Yeah my fault I should of let go right after he moved here. Everything he done he blamed me said if he wouldn't of moved closer to me he would of not done the stuff he did. WTF! He still tries to hang on but I keep pushing him away. I was crushed but have moved on. |

Because people don't know how to use it somehow the system is broken?? Here's how it works. YOU go through the selection process looking at the profiles that match your search parameters. You select YES or MAYBE if you're interested in talking with them. You select NO if not. OTHER PEOPLE do the same thing - and if you match their search parameters OR if you have clicked YES/MAYBE on their profile then you will come up in their selection process. If BOTH of you have clicked YES or MAYBE on each other's pictures then you'll appear in each other's MM list. Now you know she's interested in talking to you, you're interested in talking to her... FOR PETE'S SAKE WILL YOU TWO START TALKING AND STOP WHINING ABOUT IT IN THE FORUMS!?!?! Deep breath. OK, I'm better now. The fact is MANY people don't respond to emails, even after they've expressed interest in the person sending the email. No one understands this so don't bother asking for explanation. Send 'em a couple emails then move on is all you can do. I still think MM is a brilliant idea - even if people don't utilize it. Well, we all understand how it works, our question why isn't it working? I have some mutual matches they sent me but when I view profile and go back to click yes, no, maybe the buttons are not there. |
