i do try so hard
to fit in when i can
but times can hard
when you give all that you can

i thought that you had gone to bed
what happened couldn't sleep
were the sheep in your head
all asleep

i have found that single is fun
don't have to listen
and no worries of run
my eyes are now free to glisten

so here i am
giving this a try
waiting for that next man
one that wont make me cry

that is easier said than done
i am looking but don't seem to have any luck
i dated this guy he told me to come
he even had this big o truck

he lasted but for a month
but told me he wanted no more
he told me he wasn't ready...stunk
and not to call no more

it started with a break up
then a friend showed us the way
we ended up together a day before my birthday...cup
i thought that he would stay

we had our good times and our bad
he told me that he would never leave me
but found out he was bad
he used to treat me real like no one should,
you will agree

decided to move in with each other
thought what a way to go
then i found his true color
and we started fighting so

he cheated on me so many times
but i kept taking him back
he kicked me out two times
and always tried to get him back

i found out that he has another child
i told myself that will be the end of that
now we don't talk...mild
we have two kids from that

we met a long, long, time
never thought that our time would end
it is hard to put it in rhyme
but i know that my heart will mend

i also have a sad story
it didn't happen that long ago
i thought that life was not that sorry
we were together for eight years, or so

can we write in poem,
or does it have to be a rhyme?
i have seen so many poems,
not in a rhyme.

Bill, Jim, and Scott were at a convention together and were sharing a large suite on the top of a 75 story sky scraper. After a long day of meetings they were shocked to hear that the elevators in their hotel were broken and they would have to climb 75 flights of stairs to get to their room.

Bill said to Jim and Scott, "Let's break the monotony of this unpleasant task by concentrating on something interesting. I'll tell jokes for 25 flights, and Jim can sing songs for 25 flights, and Scott can tell sad stories the rest of the way."

At the 26th floor Bill stopped telling jokes and Jim began to sing. At the 51st floor Jim stopped singing and Scott began to tell sad stories.

"I will tell my saddest story first," he said. "I just realized that I left the room key in the car!"
