Yeah really. If you’re over 30 and your picture is clearly from your senior prom then you’re not fooling anyone.

Many houses built in the mid ‘70s had service panels made by a company called “Federal Pacific.” Certain models of the breakers used in these panels were defective and pose a real fire hazard. I have had to change out quite a few in my time. Another reason for your inspector poo- pooing your panel is that it may be simply overloaded as Markecephus says. So how big is your house and, what are you running?
Unfortunately if you do need to have it changed out it will cost you. I usually charge a minimum of $1200 for a service change. If the house requires more than a 100 amp service or there’s a muddy crawl space involved it will cost more still.

I consider myself ideologically Republican although I voted for Bill Clinton, Al Gore, and John Kerry. I’m not too proud of the Kerry vote but W is the worst thing that has ever happened to America. I’m leaning in the McCain direction for a couple of reasons. First, hard core extreme right wingers hate him just a little bit less than I hate them. Second, I’m uncomfortable with the idea of one party holding both houses and the Oval Office. It was a disaster with the Republicans and it would be with the Democrats. Not that there is that much of a difference between them anyway. I’m pretty sure that the Democrats have it in the bag this time so my streak of voting for losers will most likely remain unbroken.

It’s a lot easier than you’d think. Sure, it makes dating difficult since the vast majority of people without kids want nothing whatsoever to do with those who do. In the end though, if I had it all to do over again, I wouldn’t change a thing. My little sweet pea is my world.
