I am overweight and trying to lose it, but it has been a battle, I lose and gain. My depression beats me up and then i start eating again, so get caught in the vicious cycle. I have a lot of friends on here and tell them when we start talking about the weight, many head for the hills, that is cool, rather have them run in the beginning, the ones that stick around have become great friends. I have a close friend who is looking for Barbie, and he knows about my weight. We talk on the phone alot (we will never, ever be anything but friends - I will never be a Barbie and I could never have feelings like that for him, he is a true Shallow Hal). I was blown away last night when we were talking, and he knows all about my weight, and he is talking about women being overweight and "how he finds them repulsive." Guess he is lucky I have pretty good self control or he would have a broken eardrum today. No wonder I always have a sore tongue lately after talking to him - is from always biting it to not tell him what I really want to. His "shallowness" is really bugging me. personally, i don't think that i could still be friends with someone like that |
