I have a friend that lives Southend Scotland. Mull of Kintyre? Haven't heard from him today but yesterday he said they were towing car after car away to keep them from being swept away. Lots of prayers and be SAFE!

Wow! I sure hope you hear from him and that all is well.

Unreal, apart from the Thames area, Somerset is in deep trouble :S
I've had to evacuate once myself, horrible.
Wish everyone well

So how's the situation in Scotland, Lars??

I am sorry to hear that. Are you ok and back home now?
Was your home damaged?

That was in 1995, Betty. We had a serious prob back then in the Netherlands. And yes, our house was still safe, but it was a dire situation. The army had plans to blow up part of a dyke, so our entire area would have flooded. We're talking some 8 meters of water, meaning our brand-new home would've almost completely gone under. Only to relieve pressure elsewhere: an industrial area which was valued more than our area and town. So we were very very lucky!

Yes that was very lucky. Glad it all worked out. Losing a home must be so horrible. I really don't know how people cope with it, but somehow they do.

what could be sweeter than love?

Maybe the only thing sweeter is the person you are in love with.

I heard on the news that some parts of the U.K. are having severe and devastating flooding.
Knowing several of our Members are from the U.K. My thoughts and prayers are with any of you and your family or friends that may be affected by this.

That's why I gave my workers the day off? No point in opening 2 roofs up today, with the way the weather has been! Hopefully, it'll be better by tomorrow though?

I hope so. It looked dreadful from what I saw on the news.

So the point of this thread is what?

She wants you to make her legs Shake.

I could get her a job with my mate working on the roads? Standing there with that jackhammer against her would burst her banks with those vibrations and she would never need her Rampant Rabbit, ever again. Well that would certainly make her legs shake, eh? Ha ha

laugh laugh laugh laugh It would sure work for me lol
I remember when I did that job before Betty. When it came lunchtime, me and my mates that were working with them, wouldn't walk to the shop, we'd pole-vault! Ha ha

I am just trying to picture you guys eating your soup after doing that. It must have chicken noodle all over the table lol
But...did you tell them what you really thought of them?
After all they did make your legs shake ,so that's part of the deal. lol
Out of the 25 years i've been in the construction trade, i've never eaten soup on my lunchbreak!

Well fine , spoil my image of all you shaky guys spilling your soup lol

oo. I totally misunderstood the OP. I thought she was talking about the progress of women, in general...not the elimination of men. yikes.

lol. like i always say, men need women way more than women need men...

I think we all need each other equally flowerforyou

i agree, i was talking about the human race in general, not personal relationships...
