Moderators or Admin.'s as we call them on the game server's are a great
idea. I help run several gaming server's (most of them for children but
some for adults also). On the server for children we allow no cursing
and especailly no porn(Conter Strike allows you to spray tags or
picture's some of them can be very offensive and not good for children)
We police our younger audience's server's very dilligently and if it
were for admins then I dont think that it would go so well. We have a
set of rules ..the first time you break the rules you are warned and
reminded of the rules...the second time you are kicked for a short
period of time and the third time your are kciked for even longer. If
you still show absolute disreguard for the rules then you are banned
from the site. Of coarse on our adult server's were are quite a bit more
understanding....but still there are rules about cheating and being
disrespectfull that we enforce. I think that this is a wonderfull idea.
No moderator or admin should act alone ....his descision should be
backed up ny another moderator so that personalities dont weigh into the
judging of who gets reprimanded for acting against the rules. sorry for
such a long post but I have been thiking about this idea for a
whileBeing a moderator is a huge job and should not be taken lightly.
The moderator or admin's make the site....the are the people that
represent the rules of the site. Well thats my two cents.
