totally agree that it takes two people to make a relationship work.. its not always a 50/50 reason for the split tho.. There are some things each person either does or doesn't do to upset/offend the other but for the most part its usually either someone gets bored or just isn't happy anymore and moves on. Sometimes this comes out of nowhere for the other person and its hard to deal with a breakup when you thought the relationship was perfect.. in hindsight they never are tho!

its been proven that men are visual creatures.. I know a few guys who don't look at porn or go to strip clubs, ever.. I think they are abnormal..

I would definitely prefer my man to want to only see me naked but you have to be realistic.. I admit I love to see some hot men naked as well.. but when you cross that line of "cheating" then its over.. fantasy is fine in the mean time!

As a nurse I've seen the results of what a lifetime of smoking can do to a person.. COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, which includes; emphysema, bronchitis, and asthma)is a terrible way to spend your life.. Really going to suck when you can't breathe because you killed all the aveoli (tiny sacs that help convert the oxygen into your bloodstream) in your lungs and you can no longer catch your breath because of all the inflammation and scarring on your lungs. Oh, not to mention the fact that eating is now a chore because you can't breathe while you chew, even though you do have oxygen running at 6 liters/min.. which you have to be careful about, because if you get too much oxygen you can shut down the part of your brain that causes you to breathe.. best part is they still want to smoke.. crazy!

Not trying to scare or threaten anyone.. but I think if some of you spent a day working with these type of patients you would change your attitude about smoking in public. 2nd hand smoke can cause these horrible diseases as well. If you don't care enough about your own body then think about the future of your friends and family.. Lugging around an oxygen tank for the rest of their life isn't one of the most appealing ways to spend your life..

well I know my ex was in the Navy for 8 years as a BU3 and because there wasn't an opening for his job class to get promoted he got out with a seperation bonus of like 18k bucks.. I do know he did get into some trouble as well (not sure if thats why he didn't get promoted) he was kinda an idiot tho, lol.

I just joined the Air National Guard and because of some of my college credits I joined as an E3.. by December I will be an E4(time in rank).. and if I complete my 5 levels in power pro I will be an E5 in a few years.. So its all based on time and meeting the qualifications.. I think promotion should be based off of merit as well though.. I knew quite a few people who should not have advanced to the rank they are in..

I have lived near a Marine base my entire life.. I can honestly say I know a lot of marines that get married solely because they get additional money.. They call them contract marriages.. Pretty much the wife gets half of the additional money, plus health insurance and base privliges..

Scary thing is that the young marines don't realize what a terrible mistake they are making for their future.. There are so many problems that could arise if you don't trust your spouse.. for example.. If you are active duty and you marry someone who is not in the military they become your dependent and you their sponsor.. Well.. say they don't like going the speed limit on base, MP pulls them over and you get a ticket.. If that happens enough, or you don't attend the "court" session then you can lose all of *your* privliges of driving on base..

I even know another marine who married someone very young and ended up getting divorced and remarried.. However, when he did that he never took his first wife off his beneficiary list on the life insurance policy through the military and when he died over in Iraq his pregnant wife didn't get a penny.. The ex wife (who cheated on him during his 1st deployment) got everything.. Jacked up huh??


I should also touch on the fact that many people "believe" they are in love and get married too soon.. Eventually they exit that blissful state and realize they not only have nothing in common with this person but they don't really love them afterall.. Can really complicate matters further when there is a youngster in the picture or on the way..

So I don't really believe that you need to be a certain rank to get married in the military. I know plenty of SSgt's who are more immature then some PFC's.. Just depends on the person.. I do however believe that they should have to attend some kind of relationship counseling before entering into marriage. I'm sure that could help keep that divorce rate number from rising..

I do applaud people who stand up for what they believe in though, especially when it comes with a great deal of controversy (as long as it isn't something incredibly extreme or completely immoral).. I remember reading a few stories about some military officers refusing orders because they thought the war was wrong.. If they feel strongly enough to face a court martial and jail time then I don't think they are cowards at all.. Just standing up for what they believe in.. Kinda reminds me of the man who had a birthday yesterday! =p

I just enlisted in the Air National Guard a lil over a month and a half ago and will leave for basic training in early March.. I am a registered democrat and have been since I turned 18 so I am obviously not the biggest Bush fan.. However! When I swore in I took an oath that said....

So ya, whether or not I like the president or agree with the war going on over there I swore to obey the orders of bush, schwarzenegger, and my commanding officers.. nothing in there said unless I choose not to..

not only did my Chargers lose.. but so did my packers.. no point in watching the superbowl now.. at least I wont have to take that sunday off from work now! /cry

hmm no EQ fans here? Lol I use to play that game for years.. sooo addictive!! thank God I had no time when I started my nursing program (20-22 units/semester plus 30-36 hours of work a week) I was able to kick my addiction.. having over 400 days of play time is sad.. (400x24hrs) lol..

wii's are great tho!!! at least you get some exercise when playing the sports games =p boxing can kick your butt!! lol
