To My Sister

This is a poem I wrote to my sister who committed suicide when she was 17. thought I'd share it.
----Ashes in The Sea---- I guess while walking I lost you I guess I never really understood It’s kind of hard too Pictures aren’t good enough Memories are fading Drifting Like your ashes in the sea Another year gone by Nothing ever really changes You’ll always be here Like you left the essence of yourself I have this box With some of your ashes Engraved on it is “Sister’s forever” And in my heart the same Just because you’re gone Doesn’t mean I wont sing you that song Or write you a poem Because you’re still here Don’t you wish you could sparkle Or even shine again? You can’t You threw it away It’s like coming to a dead end You can’t do anything but turn around But you didn’t you just stayed there I bet you wish you could see that blue sky Just one more time Or tell mom you love her You lost it everything Your pain faded away Like the memories Which are still drifting Like you ashes in the sea |

My Mantra!
|
|
Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it
