idk self reliance just really did it for me i guess, and nature too...but with walden i was like "is this ever gonna end?" i didnt need to read a million pages on thoreau watching ants

i guess i give thoreau more cred because he actually went out and did the stuff he said he was gonna do, but as for emerson he just writes it better despite the fact that emerson wrote "nature," that seemed to be all thoreau could write about |

Eh, I think that was some of the excitement in it. I mean he lived the way he wanted to. When he died, he had lived really enjoying the last part of his life. How many of us can say we did that?

Man I would love to go there, but I just think it would be strange. I met someone on here who was from Anchorage, but he'd never heard of any of it. Gosh the movie was so powerful but I think a more experienced actor would have done the trick. Chris in the movie was made out to be slightly more immature than I pictured him in the book. |

Has anyone out there read the book "Into The Wild," seen the movie, or heard of Chris McCandless or Alexander Supertramp?
I'm dying to talk to someone who has ASAP! 
Let me know all of your opinions and if you know anyone who has been to the bus!
