Hiya Seacoast ..... Why do people play games .. To use someone for their own agenda .. Whatever that might be .. Because they are dishonest and lack morals They enjoy the thrill and power of mind games .. Strategy.. Tactics .. Manipulation .. control .. Perhaps there is an addictive quality Because they can .. They have nothing to lose in their mind .. They get what they want and move on. Conflict/Incongruence /miscommunication when it comes to commitment and what it is they actually seek . I.e a short fling with no intention of a long term relationship. Why would you still want that person .. Attraction . Desire .. Need .. Longing .. . .. Hope that you will be the one to change them .. That you will be the one they crave . Some are simply Unaware that they are being played...until it is too late and there is already a deep emotional attachment . I am sorry you had this experience Seacoast .. Don't be disheartened .. You deserve to find the man of your dreams . Someone who will adore and cherish you. :-) I agree, and there are a few on here, of both sexes. It seems to me that some peoples goals are to get you to open up your heart and once you do they feel they have won. Then it ends, just like that. |

At least if you gonna use (inappropriate) titles, get the spelling right .. And why you ppl need to knock Obama and call him by a title that is related to an inhuman monster is beyond me. The man called the couple to apologize, made their day! Some would say it's ridiculous that the so called most powerful man in the world would have to apologize for something he prolly didn't even have knowledge of. I agree with this. It's easy to criticize from a distance but I bet he had no clue that he was intruding on their big day. I also bet he was mortified when he found out about it, as anyone would be. Give the guy a break. |

As I see marriage as a load of balls anyway,I can't think of a better reason than to marry just to get one person out of the s... For no other reason. However,saying that,I live in Scotland and I would not wish that on anybody unless they enjoyed living in a fridge. I would be more inclined to marry for convenience with someone in Australia.At least then I would also get a passport to somewhere warm. You sound pissed off with his comment and I don't blame you. Scotland is a beautiful Country with friendly people. If I was Scottish I would be well proud to be from there. |

If the human race no longer existed on earth how do you think nature would react to the disappearance of humans and what legacy would we leave behind ... just reading a book by an American journalist Alan Weisman ... Portraying his view on how cities would deteriorate, how long man-made artifacts would last, and how remaining lifeforms would evolve. Weisman concludes that residential neighborhoods would become forests within 500 years, and that radioactive waste, bronze statues, plastics, and Mount Rushmore would be among the longest- lasting evidence of human presence on Earth. Reminds me of scenes from planet of the apes .. Laughing ...and The statue of liberty .. america's most famous artifact You know gorgeous girl I often think of things like this. I wonder what aliens would think of our plight. I wonder if it will be us that destroys ourselves or will it be some catastrophe from space, like a comet or will something happen that no one has ever considered, like the earth just stops spinning, or something stops us from spinning. Will the whole universe be like a balloon, I mean will it just expand so far and then burst. Scary s--t really. |

For me, sin is a tricky subject, For me, we are advised that the BEST option is to remain abstinent and if we are just unwilling or not strong enough to be abstinent we should marry,, for life UNLESS there is unfaithfulness, in which case divorce is understood for me, God is very forgiving and the only one who knows our hearts and I do believe he CARES about and places significance on where our hearts are,,, my first marriage ended for unfaithfulness and other than as a mother wanting her child to have a proper family, I don't feel it was sinful to divorce my second marriage,I also do not feel is sinful to end, because the husband has long since abandoned us,,,, I am sure there are many churches who view divorce as a sin but most of those also view God as forgiving and allow for repenting of sin,, whatever it is,,, 1 John 1:9 ESV If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Pathetic, as most of your posts are. Lets all do as we please and sin as much as we like, including two divorces, but as long as we ask for forgiveness then everything is hunky-dory. Does that include being a racist as well. I was thorough in my BIBLICAL logic behind my personal beliefs if you care to discuss based upon biblical doctrine, Im more than willing to continue nowhere did I say its ok to do whatever one wishes, the discussion was very specific regarding the 'sin' of divorce,,, emotionalism in a discussion of this nature is not 'sense' , its just common human ego,,, No thanks, I've made my point. |

Here'�s the thing. When we talk about race relations in America or racial progress, it'�s all nonsense. There are no race relations. White people were crazy. Now they'�re not as crazy. To say that black people have made progress would be to say they deserve what happened to them before. So, to say Obama is progress is saying that he'�s the first black person that is qualified to be president. That'�s not black progress. That'�s white progress. There'�s been black people qualified to be president for hundreds of years. If you saw Tina Turner and Ike having a lovely breakfast over there, would you say their relationship'�s improved? Some people would. But a smart person would go, "�Oh, he stopped punching her in the face." � It'�s not up to her. Ike and Tina Turner'�s relationship has nothing to do with Tina Turner. Nothing. It just doesn't. The question is, you know, my kids are smart, educated, beautiful, polite children. There have been smart, educated, beautiful, polite black children for hundreds of years. The advantage that my children have is that my children are encountering the nicest white people that America has ever produced. Let'�s hope America keeps producing nicer white people.
