buttons...i also remember being gagged with a cloth , or a shop rag. (because, my pain was so bad.) Sounds like you , remembered some also.

I have noticed some parents today, telling a child ,"I'll give you a time out now." or, "Patty , please do not yell in the store ; Yes momy will buy you a toy." --**I think parents are better now a days. Don't you?**

wow! --mry-- that was great for you. (Some parents, back in the '50s and 60s are mean.) My friend, had it worse than i did. He came and showed me, his ear one day, after his mother finished beating him. It was hanging half off, and bloody.

whipped with a belt, razor strap, a board, the parents hand, tree limb, bull whip, mud, stick, some wire, a rope, and a rod. All that I asked of the parent was: How was your day? I learned at an early age, not to ask a parent, how they are. Do you remember, a parent that was mean?
