'Breathers' are a bad idea >>>> Leads to thinking. Thinking is bad O contraire- breathers and processing are good things. It's just like doing yoga. Taking time to do Shivasna at the end of the session helps you process the mind/body work that you've just done. Tea- it's never too late. Take the time you need. Heal. Reconnect with yourself. Be good to you. You do not NEED to be part of a pair; you are enough. |

I am not smoking or drinking every day. It's just when it really gets to me. I have tried everything including herbs and such. Doesn't help as much. Oddly, I have a Chakra aligning CD and it seems to work the best as far as other remedies. Occasional use is probably not an issue, but I do agree with others that a conversation with your doctor re:interaction with meds isa must. That Chakra alignment CD sounds really neat. I wonder if you need more time in that wind-down transition period to prepare you for sleeping. |

I think there are many people we can be compatible with. It can be misleading to focus on The One, because you might miss out on someone if they don't meet your idealized criteria. On the other hand, when you just click with someone, it sure is magic!

Hey, Tea! I don't know what you have all tried for helping you go to sleep.
Longstanding ways to fall asleep- a warm glass of milk, meditation/ deep breathing, a little brandy before bed, a warm bath or shower, calming music... I'm sure there are others. It doesn't Sunday like you are dependent- you are making a choice, so that is good. It's when it moves past choice to dependence that is an issue, IMO. Having had problems with anxiety my whole life, I do feel for you. I haven't actually tried what you are trying, as my body can't handle the chemicals, but as a short term solution, I would say you are okay for now. I know you have allergies to cigarettes, so you might want to avoid the electronic cigarette in case the nicotine triggers a reaction (even if it's usually the smoke that triggers your reaction, your body may not like the nicotine). Another coping strategy is to write down all the things that are on your mind before bed, that way they get out of your head and give you some peace! A focusing exercise I find really helpful is to take turns listening, looking and feeling things in my environment while breathing deeply. It helps get my attention out of my head so I can let go of thoughts that are bothering me. If you would like any more specifics, just mail me. |

Welcome to mingle!
Your profile is appropriate. You may want to change the "where are you from" section to reflect where you are living (you mention UBC) so that people in your area can actually search for you. Also, consider using pictures of just you in your profile. I prefer seeing just pictures of the individual person- less confusing-, and maybe your friends would not like to have pictures of themselves posted publicly? Just some things to consider. Happy Mingling! |

It's weird, I get generic messages or winks from girls in foreign countrys all the time. It's like do I look that dumb I know what their trying to do. Plus I live in a small town in SD so clearly not much research there. They cast the net wide to catch a few fish. |

Whoohoo! I guess you won't be having a rip roaring bash, but I hope you still found some goodness in your day.
I used to suffer from migraines for years, and then got a night guard. They basically disappeared as soon as I started using it. Darnedest thing. Here's hoping you will find the magic charm to make yours stop for good! That is my birthday wish for you. |
