My momma was diagnosed with cancer 4 days before she died.... this April will be two years. My father died two years before she did. Suddenly I felt sooo alone, although I have brothers, it just seemed so lonely. Know this....I never believe time heals anything. You have to find somewhere inside you, a reason to go on without your loved one. With my momma it was throwing myself into something I felt passionate about. Something new. Something that would help people because I couldn't help her in the end. With my dad, it was something a read in an article over a year after he died. "Don't cry because it's over....be happy that you were part of it". That awakened me. Not sure why but I took that sentence to heart and was finally able to accept life without him. (he and I were very close) hugs to you....
