Do you know a person ...

one of my sisters is like that...
i think they are unhappy, or grew up being unhappy at some point. it's a lot less painful to be angry than it is to be hurt, depressed or feel inadequate. i just pity such people... i try to be nicer to them than they are to me, if that doesn't work. i just let it go and move on, and wish them well. |

Is Being Single Unhealthy?
|
|
nope.
a relationship is only as functional and mature as the people in it. being single allows one time to become the kind of person who would be up to the task. |

i think some people gravitate to certain kinds of music because they identify with it in some way. people gravitate to beauty that they can see part of themselves in.
if someone told me they liked death metal... i'd be a weee bit concerned initially, but considering i know better than to think you're crazy jaggy, i give you a pass despite your taste in music ![]() ![]() |

sooo basically you're saying that people with grey eyes are butt-ugly and make up for it by putting in extra effort in bed.
cool. |

Online Friendships

there are nice people on this site that i'd be honoured to call friends... but i don't think, in the true definition of that word, that any of them are. there's a distance factor geographically and emotionally that inhibits it.

i'm a couple notches away from being suicidal most of the time anyhoo.
i'd gladly do it. death is a fact of life. it's gonna happen anyway... might as well do it for a good cause. |

A veteran Oscar voter predicts Michael Jackson's "This Is It" will be nominated for best picture based upon its reception at today's academy screening. He e-mails Gold Derby this report, "Just attended Sunday afternoon screening of 'This Is It' at AMPAS in Goldwyn Theater before a capacity audience (1,000 seats) to experience the most enthusiastic response I've every witnessed in 40 years of academy screenings. Similar to but better than the reaction given to 'Chicago' a few years ago Audience broke into applause at least 10 times. They were 'mesmerized' and gave film an enormous reception as credits rolled. The editing is brilliant. I predict it will be the first doc to ever make the best picture nomination list, especially now that there are 10 best pic noms. I also consider the work 'a gift to the world.' "

i don't.
the cops i've encountered in my life time have been complete self-entitled ********. i don't get uncomfortable, i get short tempered. the first time i had to deal with the police was when i was 17 and had to call them becuz my dad pulled a knife on my mother after he'd been hitting her around. they took several HOURS to bother to get there... and then when they got there they realized they knew my father because he works closely with them in his job. they took him away to have a chat, he (my father) told them he never laid a hand on my mother before, they believed him and dropped him back home a couple hours later... my mum had to pack her things a leave the next day for fear of her life. the second time i had to deal with the police was when a friend of mine was raped at knife point while on her way to meet up with me to go out... her boyfriend and i were the first on the scene when she called us and we eventually went to the police station with her and her parents... when they took her in to be questioned privately her boyfriend and i were in the waiting area of the police station obviously distraught at what happened... some police officer came in and yelled at us for slouching, told us to sit up straight or leave... we left. to put it mildly... i detest the police. |

that's like asking if i'd be interested in seeing first-hand how da vinci made the mona lisa... or how god (if there is one) created the universe.
i mean.. it's not even a question of if, but rather, how many times. |
