The fact that the bibles of the world can be interpreted many different ways makes them fallible works. And a fallible work is not that of an infallible god.

You sure about that? ..Ima thinkin you stopped too soon and me not even a believer in the biblical sense....bigsmile

Dance with me!

I'm POSITIVE about that! (stopped too soon?)

Shake your bon-bon, shake your bon-bon, shake your bon-bon.

Maybe the fact that the "bibles" of the world are interpretive is the very thing that keeps people reading them...

Just dancin with ya..

Maybe I'm missing the point. But isn't this really about having sex before marriage. fianc or not.

Is there really anyone on this thread who didn't??

You're probably not missing the point, but who can be sure?...She said sleep in his house, not in his bed...Where the heck is SHE anyway?whoa

I just love the way that some people try to create non-falsifiable arguments when it comes to the proper way to interpret a religious text.

"My interpretation is right because I am so spiritual."

Lol...not really. The value is in how it changes your outlook to become a better person. Its not always about the semantics of right and wrong..unless of course, we are talking about debating the content of the text. smile2 in that case, defense of the context is of utmost importance.

Heehee...You are such a diplomat...

As long as it does not infer with your beliefs or his then there is no problem with it.. If it is your fiance then I would assume you have already had sex.. If not and you don't believe in sex before marriage then no it would not right....

Always do what feels right for you...

Her sleeping in his house does not necessarily mean they will be having or have had sex...Self control is a real thing :-)...Maybe extenuating circumstances demand she stay with him or someone for the time being...The OP really didn't give enough, MAKE THAT ANY, details... So I say maybe, maybe not....

@ Jumoga...Always doing what feels right is not always what IS right...Don't do something that ultimately may not be in your or his best interest...

If you want to see real change ...

Get a balanced budget amendment to the constitution.

Stop the flow of influence money to politicians (like that could really happen!)

Eliminate unions for government employees (take a close look at the IRS and VA)

Revise the immigration law to eliminate "anchor babies"

Amend the laws to prohibit 'any' person illegally entering this country from ever receiving citizenship or receiving government assistance.

Grant 'terrorist' status to any person illegally in this country and convicted of a felony with a minimum prison stay and life upon reentry after deportation.

Oooooolala...I love every single one of these!!love love

Don't blame government, blame wealth!....

So, what religious verses, if any, do you believe are often taken out of context?

What, if any?...They can all be taken out of context if that is the way they are read and unfortunately most are!...This would be true of any book...It's only said more about the bible because the bible is one of the most read, most quoted, least understood books in history...Make sense?...Sure it does...Don't overcomplicate it with things like spirituality, belief or non belief...Treat it like any piece of literature and you will have no problem understanding why it is so misinterpreted or even better, interpretable...

Unless you have read, studied in depth from start to finish and comprehended contextual meaning, it's easy to misinterpret the phrases and verses of the bible; it's an extremely complicated piece of non? fiction...That's why religious instruction is offered in most colleges, it's why bible study classes for all age groups continue to thrive...

Correct interpretation of the bible is ALL about context...The four principles of context are literal meaning, historical setting, grammar and syntheses...Taken out of context, most people would (and do) misinterpret bible phrases and scripture...Some even do it intentionally in order to prove a point or seek validation...Reading random scriptures will never lead to clear understanding and will always leave room for interpretation...Pick up a book, any book, open it to a random page and read one paragraph, now interpret that paragraph...

I'm big on the WHY's of things.

What I find makes relationships between SEEMINGLY very different people work well, is that the reasons WHY they came to have whatever labels they do, are where the similarities are to be found.

For possible example:

both serious science and serious art, are all about the exact same thing: discovering, identifying, and conveying to yourself and others, what is at the heart, the essence of existence. Mutual excitement over this same discovery process and expression, could very well make an Einstein fall mutually in love with a Monroe.

 Nice!

Love Poems speak about the passion, desire and vulnerability of love in all its stages. When we share our lives with another, our whole world is completely different. To fall in love may be one of the greatest feelings ever. Romantic relationships are the spice of life. They make us feel alive in a way that nothing else can. Genuine romance exists when two individuals show that they care for each other by doing small acts for each other that demonstrate love and affection. We feel loved and cared for when we know that our significant other is thinking about how to give us the most pleasure. Romance is the key to keeping the sparks flying. Without it, any relationship will soon lose its shine.

Hi Chillin...When you are borrowing someone's words failure to use quotation marks, cite the article or both is plagiarism...Your OP from "familyfriend poems" website is lovely...Thank you for sharing it with us...

Many girls obsess about how to be the perfect girlfriend. The truth is most guys are happy enough just to have a girlfriend. However, it is important to know that for guys, being respected is the most important thing. Guys want to know that you think they are powerful and strong. Also do not disregard his complement. If he tells you that he thinks that you look beautiful, don't tell him that you are ugly. You may be acting modest, or displaying your own insecurities, but to him, you are saying that his complements don't mean a thing.

Thanks Chillin, I'll remember that^^^if you remember to use quotes..whoa

Psst I am in the sinner group ..how about you mo

not me... i don't sin... by what i consider a sin, anyway...

And what do you consider a sin?

If Moe answers this right, does he win a prize Uche?shades
Sure Leigh. Moe has not answered the qjuestion. Let tell us what is "sin" by his definition and how he got the concept of right and wrong, because we know he is atheist. Who rewards his "good deeds" and who punishes his "sins" I have a reward for him

whoa how stupid... you think i need to be rewarded for a good deed? you have no concept of the religion you talk about...

No concept of personal boundaries eitherwhoa ...Shame on you Uche....pitchfork
We (born again and children of God) have seen, heard and encountered worse from not only the islamic terrorists who beheaded many of our members but also from backslidden western so called christians who now call good evil and evil good. Its not new. The persecution from hell goes on. Lol!!!!!!!!!!!
