Only ones I don't answer anymore are the vulgar ones. I used to ignore the ones that just said "whats up" or the like, but I at least try to talk to them now. Never know. I am shy too.

Update: I just found out she recently turned 79. She is now in a rehab place for physical therapy. Supposed to be only for 5 days but last I heard it has been a week. My brother is fixing up her house so she can get around if she does end up using a wheelchair...which she is fighting all the way. She kinda freaked him out because she told him she was moving to Vegas and selling the house. She was kidding of course, but with her recent health issues, my brother thought she was losing her marbles on top of it...

Update: She went in for an mri the other day, of which they are waiting for the results. She has progressed to being almost totally dependent upon my family to help her get around. Still waiting for her to get into some physical therapy...

I should probably ask, what are we considering age for for the purpose of your question? Too young for what?

I just prefer to look for older people because my own age group tends to be much less mature than myself. And any younger, I consider to be jail bait
