Defund the police

everything is dependent upon people being basically good people -from there it's a matter of their understanding -which they will attempt to increase because they are basically good. ideally, we want good cops and good citizens. same is true for everything -if everyone is against everyone, the world implodes. getting clearer & clearer. in the Kim Potter trail, Timothy Gannon, her boss and former Brooklyn Center police chief - resigned. in fact, instead of Police De-fund, people should hold the chiefs accountable, including demand for their resignations. |

Birds recharge by sitting on power lines. The only bird I can think of when you spout this conspiracy theory is the cuckoo bird. Where do you get this idiotic idea from. I guess you think the moon shot was not real. When a person makes this kind of statement they show their limit of reasonable thought. Birds are real, ask any hunter, pheasants, ducks, quail. I’m sure these hunters are not eating springs, batteries, wires. But it may be different in the land of illusion where you probably reside. Not everything on google is real, duhhhhh. So where are the birds in American skies? I have not seen a single crow .., in DC So okay, the government did not genocided the birds; the turkey feasters did! Now the day is not far when .. U.S. Government genocided over 12 Billion birds from 1959-2001, and replaced these birds with surveillance drone replicas, which still watch us every day. To begin with, these replicas will be assigned traffic cop duties. Shoot and then ask questions. Friendly fire is the name. The reason this 'conspiracy' got derailed is because Trump banned Huawei's 5G. Make no mistake. The technology is there for angel drones to ward off government issue and is the reason the Dems want to annul the second amendment before moving forward with the replicas. Without the 2nd amendment, the Republic is,, The cow is of the bovine ilk; One end is moo, the other, milk --xx Projections apart, there's a paper by Erickson, Johnson and Young on 'Bird mortality in the US'. The paper covers: avian fatalities due from air collisions, communication towers, contaminants, electrocutions, fishing by-catch, power lines, wind turbines .., - cover up for the real thing. |

More lies from our piece of sh#t president. After all his federal mandates and putting many people out of work, now he says there is no federal plan to combat the virus.... Maybe more people died since Biden's inauguration, but that's largely due to idiots who won't vaccinate, wear masks or socially distance. Since January, vaccines have been widely available, free of charge and encouraged from the top down, whereas before, Trump actively sabotaged Covid mitigation efforts. It was a good case till it reached 'whereas ..' Trump's push on the vaccines - while the leadership / regulatory agencies in the rest of the World, hesitated - is already referred to as the 'great moment' that broke the tidal curve 'exponential' of infection. For the record, statutory regulations required waiting periods of 3 to 6 months after each vaccine tests as the trails progressed to the next stage of increased sample population. Sure Trump has multiple negatives but when this generation of politicians are gone, history will mark 'vaccination at warp speed' - as Trump's greatest achievement. Regarding Biden's high point - as he says - it's 'build better infra keeping climate change in mind'. On the accompanying 'inflation'; there have been no convincing answers so it's going to be 'bite the bullet'. So far, with allies / and non-allies; Biden's peaceful approach is working!! That's a real climate change. Yeah, I've to give this to the Dems. |

The media melt down ... How long before the democrats erect a statue of rosenbaughm( the child molester) they are portraying him as a hero. Says a lot about the caricature of democrats. Case surpassed epic levels when Judge Bruce Schroeder had the gumption to ban MSNBC. What luck, the cop flagging down the reporter because he did not stop at the red light!!! The guy following the bus was keeping himself a block behind the bus. The cop should have handcuffed the reporter pending investigations - nevertheless he's a hero. And then the fake news: NBC News said in a statement that he was a freelancer and he "never contacted or intended to contact the jurors during deliberations, and never photographed or intended to photograph them."
Even the media agrees, 'It can't get fokker than this.' As far as the suggestion goes: How long before the democrats erect a statue of rosenbaughm ...
Why not? |

And finally,
I am the soul Not food is the soul of life Nor water is the life's soul It is the king who is the life of this wide expanse of the earth (Call it popular belief, or flattery the king's character and conduct was believed to translate as powers over the climate and environment (rains, sunshine, successful crops) -- Royal Karma at work) Therefore this is the duty of the kings with armies stocked with mighty spears: To know: I am the soul! |

From the above lines it's hard to imagine that strife and battles with neighboring kingdoms was the normal.
War. We have disassociated it from cruel. Here's a pleader's view: The poet Kizhaar address the Chola king Killi to save the lives of the children of a defeated enemy who are about to be executed by being trampled under an elephant. The poet says, "… O king, you belong to the heritage of kings who sliced their own flesh to save the life of a pigeon, look at these children; they are so naïve of their plight that they have stopped crying to look at the swinging trunk of the elephant in amusement. Have pity on them…" |

The Sages To us all towns are one, all men our kin, Life's good comes not from others' gifts, nor ill, Man's pains and pain's relief are from within, Death's no new thing, nor do our bosoms thrill When joyous life seems like a luscious draught. When grieved, we patient suffer; for, we deem This much-praised life of ours a fragile raft Borne down the waters of some mountain stream That o'er huge boulders roaring seeks the plain Tho' storms with lightning's flash from darkened skies. Descend, the raft goes on as fates ordain. Thus have we seen in visions of the wise ! We marvel not at the greatness of the great; Still less despise we men of low estate. Purananuru, 192 (Translated by G.U.Pope, 1906) Life's journey has remained unchanged. Bold youth .. to Sage |

"I muse of YOUTH! The tender sadness still returns! In sport I moulded shapes of river sand, plucked flowers to wreathe around the mimic forms: in the cool tank I bathed, hand linked in hand, with little maidens, dancing as they danced! A band of innocents, we knew no guile. I plunged beneath th' o'erspreading myrtle's shade, where trees that wafted fragrance lined the shore; then I climbed the branch that overhung the stream while those upon the bank stood wondering; I threw the waters round, and headlong plunged dived deep beneath the stream, and rose, my hands filled with the sand that lay beneath! Such was my youth unlesson'd. 'Tis too sad! Those days of youth, ah! whither have they fled? I now with trembling hands, grasping my staff, panting for breath, gasp few and feeble words. And I am worn and OLD!" Ancient Sangam Litt., Purananuru, 243 300 BC - 200 AD Translated by G. U. Pope, 1906 |

In this insane, friendless world,
insane virus, jobless world, However you cut it, Nothing positive and yet, Fellow Minglers have shown the way .. with encouraging words Even changing our outlook on our failures .., as accidents. Telling us .., we are half-way there. This New Year, while looking for a joke to bring a smile to Ms. Rozie's lips (Soufie's so hard to please) I found this story of Kang, abject failure, like some crazies we may know and yet, a kind judge / tolerant government, like Mingle community, turned the tide .. cause, he was halfway there. Here's the story. On 26 January 1994, 23-year old Kang fired two blank shots from a starting pistol at Charles, Prince of Wales, during an Australia Day speech at Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour in Sydney. The Prince "cool as a cucumber" sustained no injuries https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxiwrsEy-2I PG-13 Arrest, trial, and sentence Kang was arrested and taken to Sydney Police Centre on Goulburn Street. In court, Kang testified that he was suffering from depression and was protesting the plight of Cambodian refugees in Australia. Kang had previously written letters to the Prince of Wales, the President of the United States, the United Nations, and the Pope, among others, and had received a form letter reply from the Prince. Kang was found guilty of threatening unlawful violence and sentenced to 500 hours of community service. Education Following the incident, Kang earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Technology Sydney Plus, a Bachelor of Laws with honours from the Sydney Law School Legal career the New South Wales Bar Association found that Kang was a "fit and proper person", with the president of the New South Wales Bar Association remarking that he had "served his time", admitting him as a barrister in 2004. Kang practises as a barrister, specialising in criminal law, commercial and corporations law, equity, and medical negligence, at Ada Evans Chambers in Sydney. Personal life Kang is married with two children. His interests, as listed on his chambers website, include tennis, soccer, and swimming. Okay, nice story; but what's with all this 'halfway there'? 'Depression'. Every time you are depressed, remind yourself, depression is important, it is a valid plea and like Kang, you just might be, halfway there |

Oil prices are an effect of supply & demand, and have more to do with OPEC's manipulation than anything the US President does. Interesting; let's see .. Shale Oil production Sanctions on Iran, Russia Subsidy on electric cars Climate change resolutions banning coal production / consumption - worldwide ================================================= plenty more but then again you may be right. Wait a moment, what if this President were to ask all Citizens to stop driving for One day .., In 2020, consumption of finished motor gasoline averaged about 8 million b/d (337 million gallons per day), = 44% of total U.S. petroleum consumption (Daily consumption is 20 million) It could send a symbolic message to the world May be China, India and others could follow suit. What Cleve said. It's like an invitation to go deep, to go inward and to become more aware of why what you see in the outside is basically a reflection of what is living on your inside. I do not understand why you drag Shakespeare in this or a painting? Jung was a psychologist. To me this is an invite to become more aware (of what the subconscious is doing and how this manifests in the external world). This potpourri, was originally to draw reflections from poets here. I'm glad Cleve joined in and now you have shared and grown this. TY |

Thanks again.
Berne's TA used to be a rage in the mid Seventies among Management Gurus here.., (my college years). It's an offshoot from Behavioral Psychology - so strong in US and now I wonder why it did not percolate down our society here, in the East. It's probably the economy, population density. We live in silos, like factory workers - where transactions are concealed work orders; 'do it, or else' and in such living, community consciousness drops. Outside of silos, life is like constantly negotiating fares with 'auto drivers' - and love, outside of budget - once out of college. Jung's work on the other hand, centers around human Consciousness - also overlapping Eastern Philosophies which talk about 'peeling away layers of consciousness'. Your essay is a happy mix from both (although the all caps - makes it like reading against the light); and practical. If we constrain to final 3 lines of Jung's verse: and slowly come to recognize that we meet ourselves time and again in a thousand disguises on the path of life." In these senior years, I do see & agree life as 'recycled memories and emotions' disguised - as different players (companies / employers) over time; and the human condition (nice reminder); is in a state of 'fertile void' - . The hopelessness of it all - restated humorously, in the final 3 lines. Thanks for the help. |

THE QUEST IS TO FINISH THE EMOTIONAL WORK FROM CHILDHOOD.... WHAT BLURS OUR MINDS IS THE ''FOCUS ON THE SURFACE NOISE CREATED BY OUR BEHAVIOR''..... IN OTHER WORDS ITS UNRESOLVED ISSUES WE BRING TO OUR RELATIONSHIPS FROM PAST THAT WE ARE RECYCLING........EVERYONE HAS FAVORITE FEELINGS AND BELIEFS THAT CAUSE THE SURFACE NOISE.....FEW WILL GIVE IT UP ...... AS FRITZ PEARLS SAID, WHEN ONE BELIEFS OR EMOTIONS ARE GIVEN UP YOU HAVE WHAT HE CALLED THE ''FERTILE VOID '' OTHER EMOTIONS AND BELIEFS MUST FILL THE VOID..... WE DO A LOT OF ''PROJECTION'' IN OUR GAMES TO RECYCLE OUR FAVORITE FEELINGS AND VALIDATE OLD BELIEFS..... IT IS TOTALLY OUT OF OUR CONSCIOUS AWARENESS... THAT'S WHY INTROSPECTION IS SO IMPORTANT..... Deep & very helpful! |

The third line ...
by carefully analysing every fascination, [3] extract from it a portion of our own personality like a quintessence .., What's this ownership on personality? When it's a steadily changing thing, raising .., then eroding.. then ending. Then there's Shakespeare who takes 'personality' to a crest then flings it outwards, beyond the living (there's always a Shakespeare) In The Tempest, Ariel sings to Ferdinand, who is stumbling about the island mourning a father who has died in a shipwreck: Full fathom five thy father lies, Of his bones are coral made: Those are pearls that were his eyes: Nothing of him that doth fade, But doth suffer a sea-change Into something rich and strange. Not being English, And not being seamen like the English, Couldn't follow Shakespeare! (bluurrrp!) excuse me. Luckily, a painting by Dulac of mermaids viewing Ferdinand's Father's bones ... (eNNY THE eNGLISH who paint verse) And this clears up - the bones embraced by the sea 'suffering a sea change' coral perhaps? == It may appear that we have diverged from ' quintessence of personality ' But isn't a son's hopeless search for a shipwrecked father a search for his memories, maybe even gleams of a past life, like a wave that emerges from the shoulder of another wave And so a ' quintessence of personality ' may mean - gleams drawn from the dead, or dead past, harbored, deep within some cave in our mindset. Rushing forth, either in an unguarded moment or, commanding refreshing strength as we lay in fatigued, near despair. So one may say that Personality's made of quintessence stuff And if I'm wrong, how wrong. |

Hello Poets,
This seems one of those open ended verses that mean different things to different people. I don't recall where I found it / copied it from. "Unless we prefer to be made fools of by our illusions, we shall, by carefully analysing every fascination, extract from it a portion of our own personality like a quintessence, and slowly come to recognize that we meet ourselves time and again in a thousand disguises on the path of life." ~Carl Jung I think I got the first two lines right by asking 'Fascinations for what?' Driven by needs of Wealth, Love, .. Differencing between us in Quality / Quantity We conjure a projection of ourselves Or, a projection of our Love Which has it's own life And talks to us; Our fascination? --xx Anyone who finds this interpretation reasonable, is welcome to demystify rest of the verse for .., including my benefit. |
