...well I just try not to get bitter, cause in my opinion that´s the low point of self esteem. I mean I can joke about myself and my lack of a super ego. I rather be this way than a shallow person with a cold heart who lives life and hardly ever shows any emotion. I know a lot of people who are like that and I don´t point the finger at any one in particular... I wouldn´t dare cause...lol

I've noticed lately that a lot of people around here seem to lack confidence and have low self esteem. There's a lot of "woe is me I don't have a life" kind of stuff going on. Why? I don't get why people are just sitting around, complaining that they don't have a life, or don't like their life. Why not change it? I don't know about others, but this is a huge turn off for me. Well good for you but people have different backgrounds and maybe there isn´t a switch to make It all change. I guess you are one of the shiny happy people who are content with things but some people have had their lives tested...no fatherfigure, stepfather raping you, mother looking the other way, bad grades, sleepless nights, no beauty, fat kid, short kid, odd kid...kicked out, no home, just a shotgun to a head, more abuse... So yes, tomorrow is a new day and I can´t wait...really?? |

I´m thankful that I never compromised so I could become the person I am today...weird, lonely, eccentric and a man with impeccable taste. They tried to beat me but I stood my ground!

I like that the most features are free and that the focus is on the forum. The vibe in the forum is relaxed and funny and yet you can have deep and profound discussions.
I wish there where some more features, perhaps a chat? I have had some bad luck with some people here trying to take advantage of your low self esteem. And I miss some people who just kind of disappeared and probably got bored with me... miss u S... Haven´t found romance here but I don´t find It anywhere else these times but I have met some cool people...and I want to meet even more so keep it up!!

or does anyone else find it a bit off putting when people have to say (or write/type/whatever) they are attractive? Besides, isn't attractiveness and beauty subjective? I agree There's something about reading a profile that has pictures and they describe themselves as handsome, attractive. Isn't that my preference. I mean I'm all for self esteem, But perhaps in my eyes you aren't as handsome as you think. To each his own. EVERYONE has difference preferences. Yes, I agree. I just think these people that say they are attractive or handsome are just confident in themselves and I see nothing wrong with it. The alternative is someone who doesn't feel attractive and needs reassurance 24/7 as they have a low self esteem. I dated one and it takes a lot out of you and is very frustrating. When you have low selfesteem and dont like yourself It´s hard to believe that others find you attractive. I mean I rarely go out clubbing or to a bar thinking "whats the point I never meet anyone cause all the others are better looking than me" So I stay home and curse the world for being shallow... The world has and always will be shallow. I have had lots of guys tell me I am too fat and not pretty enough and I hear this just about every other day. Why should my self esteem go down because men don't find me attractive? Who cares what anyone else thinks. No matter how good looking one person is; there will always be someone better looking; that is life. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with your looks and you should feel good about the way you look. I say you should go out and walk with your head held high. Don't let society tell you otherwise. thanks!

I thought your profile was great. I've seen so much worse. Truth is, I never would have seen it if you hadn't come into the forums. That's where I meet people. Not cruising the profiles. At first i didn't even know they had forums.. and i basically just waited for people to message me. but these forums have proved alot of fun an a great way to meet new people :D me too, waited and waited...

Why are you still Single?

I am single cause I am pretty picky. I also think I´m ugly as hell, short and too fat. I have no self-esteem due to a ****ed up childhood. I´m stuck in the moment and I have come to terms with the fact that I will be single for the rest of my life. It Isn´t the end of the world, just a bit sad that I feel this way...
I do have my family and nice friends whom I love and that´s more than some people have. so, all is well...
