As many of you know, the whole purpose of people posting is to have fun and to gain something. It's not meant to hurt anyone.

Recently I found out that someone (not going to mention any names) did not like the fact that I, a Christian, was posting here. While I do not agree with this, the last thing I would want to do is make someone feel uncomfortable. Though I did think evolutionists were not so sensitive, if someone is sensitive and offended by my remarks, I don't want to make them feel uncomfortable.

And so, I will not be posting on the Science and Philosophy category. I'll still be on the Religious category, so I will answer my question there.

Has anyone read Charles Darwin's Origin of the Species? If you are suffering from insomnia, THIS is the book for you. For nowhere else in the history of literature does one so masterfully discuss

Now, don't get me wrong. Turtles are good. They make great soup. But, to have page after page dedicated to Yertle the Turtle is a bit much even for me.

So, what's your take on it. Is this the book that launched evolutionism. Is it the 19th Century equivalent of Scientology?

I still remember this book in high school. I think that Darwin had a weird "turtle love" thing going. With all of God's creation around him, instead of enjoying the beauty of the Galapagos Islands, what did he do?

Study turtles.

Maybe he needed a hobby. Or a woman.

According to whom? Unbelievers such as yourself? You're not going to prove God exists or He does not exist. And you can test something all you want, but you can't prove evolution. That is why it is a theory.

Case in point: We do not have The Theory of Gravity, do we? We have The Law of Gravity. If you could prove evolution, it would be a law.

I agree here. Unlike evolution, which is wishy washy and that is why, as you say, "anything could change," God and Christ do not change.

That is a great point.

In fact, I would say that to have blind faith is not to really have faith. Similarly, to look at the Bible as fiction without reading it, or pluck verses out of context to justify your unbelief shows an unwillingness to know the truth.

In short, to develop a strong faith, you must question and study and pray and question and study and pray and...

You see what I am saying here.
