I understand completely and haven't an answer.
But I will say, I am staying "just friends" for a very long time now. People and situations sometimes take a loooooong time to fully bloom or unfold. Good luck and welcome aboard

Ive been doing cat rescue for many years now and have never seen that.

Hopefully it's a personal quirk of your cat you never noticed, but...
I'd keep my eye on it for a week or so, and try to be observant of any other changes. If it continues or becomes more frequent, I would definitly take it to a vet.

Like I mentioned the third party has hopes, dreams, desires and feelings as well and they are equally important. Hopefully, you and the other person will still be walking through life together long after the children have moved out and on....so make each other an equal priority.

Dragon that is Sooooo right of you!!!! Very refreshing, that is not usually the case with most people. You obviously have an open mind and loving heart. Thats wonderful for all of you.

Just for the record, my post wasn't directed at you, just food for thought for all single parents wanting to join theirs lives with another.

At the risk of approaching a possibly unpopular view, here it goes.

Have any of the Single with children individuals taken a view into the window of the mind of a THIRD party? It is my opinion that much could be gained from all side if, single parents would stop viewing the world from THEIR center of the universe. A third party (not the parent of the children), has hopes, dreams, feelings and desires in life as well.

Think of this for a moment. (the third parties view).

How many times do you want to become attached to not only ONE person but possibly 2 or more only to see it disapear without a say? The third party bares all of the responsibility for the love, care and safety of your children but NONE of the authority and none of the guarantees that come with being the biological parent. When it's over, it's over!!!

Single parents could do their part in choosing their new partners well from the get go. And making them feel they are PART of the entire package and not just the third wheel where everyone else is of greater value or importance.

If one truly wants anothers life entwind with theirs, then say it, act like it and live it.

I am not trying to be confrontational but there is more than one side and it is important for everyone to acknowledge and except the risks and gains of BOTH sides and be grateful and aware of what ALL has to loose or gain.
