now see right there is a perfect example of {how it is percived}

There are plenty of posts without "hate" or "haters" some things are in the perception... Sometimes people are joking and the perception is they're being a "hater"... If people don't agree with the poster that isn't "hating" that is a difference of opinion, and some have a hard time discerning the difference between the two.. perception,,,opinion,,,,,, we all have these. and its very clear that they are not the same....... as for the man from TX,,, does there always have to be a reason for anyone to post a topic on here? |

If a guy walked up to you and opened with a one liner.. What would work on you? wanna bump uglies? this has worked in the past. hi ,do you have any Indian in you? no,then would you like some? ok before anyone gets thier panties in a bunch. { native American} I think is more PC ,even though I hear the young people calling each other skins. see they dropped the red part off . |

I never thought I would be without this one until I or she died but the abusive men and then she would go back and lie to everyone over him until he beat her again and then she would tell us all the horrible details and then after we helped her get away, she would go back and lie to everyone about it again. Again and again until a person can't take anymore. I just don't consider relationships real when there are lies. I still worry about her everyday and I only know she is okay because I run into her children now and then and they tell me they are worried too. They promise to call me if something extremely serious happens. There comes a time sometimes when helping someone is not what they need. They have to sort it out in their own mind in their own time. |

a sport is an organized, competitive, entertaining, and skillful activity requiring commitment, strategy, and fair play, in which a winner can be defined by objective means. physical events such as scoring goals or crossing a line first often define the result of a sport. in short, sport is a by-product of competition. now i'm no expert, but it seems to me that the hunted you describe, have no idea they are involved in a contest therefore, i have to ask; where is the "sport" in that? i can't help but wonder, just how many of you would still hunt deer if they too had guns. now that would make it, (how did you put it?) "a fair sport for them and us." what does that have to do with anything? if i go the grocery store and buy a steak, i don't hide behind the false pretence that i am doing it for sport. it has nothing to do with it. and if you want to put words in my mouth at least make them true. at no time did i say i am better than anyone (hunter or not) what i said is that hunting is not a sport. in case you missed that here it is again, hunting is not a sport. how did you arrive at your assumption that this statement means i am better than any hunter? personally i don't care if people hunt, what i don't agree with is the fact that they (hunters) feel the need to defend their activities by insisting they are taking part in a sporting event. when lions take down prey i have never heard of it referred to as a sport. great whites are not out seeking sport when they feed, are they? what makes you so different? nice condescending ending...it kind of proves that you do care. it takes great skill to perform neurosurgery and to figure complex algorithms too, but i have yet to hear these referred to as sports. how much skill is there in placing feeders and spreading urine around then climbing up a tree and simply waiting for your unsuspecting "goal" to be artificially drawn near enough to you that you can fire a high powered rifle at it? like i said earlier, if the deer had guns and the patients and skill required to use them, i bet there would be very few of you that would still participate in this "sport". |

ok this is for anyone to answer,,,, why do you feel that hunting is not a sport? I have heard this stated before. and I still dont understand why people say this. I for one eat most everything that I hunt or trap,with the exception of skunks,and bobcats and coyotes . now in order for me to pursue these animals I do a lot of miles a day walking in all kinds of weather. and this includes packing out what I end up with. lol yep go ahead and hit a deer at 70 miles an hour and see what ya got left to drive. as for the bunny troubles ,invest in some garden fence thats made to keep em out. sorry not from the south,live right in the middle of everything. I know of no where in the lower fourty eight that it is legal to spotlight. oh I see the op is from England,very interesting. now you have hit it. thats my style of hunting.when I take my shot its a matter of a few feet .I stalk my prey,dont like to just sit and wait on em to show up. i could see where it is a sport if people didn't use traps or blinds, or sit in a tower getting high and drunk all day waiting for a deer to come along just to blow it out of existence, but if people were to use a bow and arrow or a knife and track the things, then i could see it as a recreational sport... |
