A crazy situation

If they feel they could still be good mentors and parents, why not become babysitters for people who have a hard time getting daycare or volunteer at a facility which provides daycare? That way they are around kids and get a break from them too, so they don't have that constant pressure of responsibility.
Does that make sense to anyone out there? |

I believe that anyone who wants to lure someone off the main site is usually up to no good, especially the first time you meet them online. I see a red flag anytime someone wants to go offsite right away--people are in too much of a hurry aren't they---even when you know they are supposedly out of reach in another country. It's going too FAST--anyone having something to say that they would be ashamed for any moderators to see may very well be a shady character. Some days there seem to be too many shady characters.
There are more and more videos discussing these kinds of things. For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10sjR9are4M Don't give up, just take care. I have to try to remember that every day. |

Playing the field?

I think dating is like playing the field or shopping for the best option. To me relationship means you are going fairly steadily with someone and not just in the bedroom. People see you together at certain events and places openly. Gradually you meet each other's peers and maybe family members. If relatives approve, the two of you are invited to family gatherings as a couple. To me a relationship is more serious and you are recognized and accepted as a couple. It can lead to marriage or common-law but you are accepted and acceptable without any hassles. A relationship is a lot more of a responsibility.

There is one shot there without the glasses which could be set as a profile. I don't see anything wrong with the profile, but the active career girls may already be married or busy. Give them some time, get out in the forums and try your luck.
Sometimes I have approached an occasional local guy with no response either. I am not generally a shady character but I don't want to marry a stranger. People on the prairies are getting more careful because divorce is quite a miserable thing. Nobody wants to rush into anything now. As an older lady I attract a fair amount of scoundrels and the majority of sites want to rush people out of range of the moderators. In your case, the active ladies you seek may be rare and most are either busy or taken, so don't give up so easily. |

I always believed that anyone who is real NEVER needs to get naked to make a point, something has to be left to the imagination. A person who is clever, of good demeanor and personality will have no shortage of action as well as the looks, licence, car and of course---a job. No need to advertise a phone no, or a mail address or go offsite. No need to be ashamed to mail each other here. If I could roll my eyes I would.

Maybe you would be better off spending time with family and that's it. If they want you you're a lucky man. I agree that the profile is quite negative and maybe you should consider what you really have and what would be appropriate to improve your quality of life. Then do the re-write.

Sounds like you have a good enough life to be grateful for. Enjoy what you have, join the forums for the rest. Some people have much less. Take care.

Friendship V/s Sex

There are some situations which are awkward to go out to as a single person. The local university has a small movie theater and older people are attracted to the films presented there. You can go on your own or with a group or another person. Unfortunately there are situations when it is better not to be the odd one out. If people can socialize and enjoy each other's company and the event they are attending without the pressure of having to "perform" or "put out" or what have you, I think it can be a more memorable experience.
People get the wrong idea about couples going out somewhere, unless the community they belong to know it is only platonic. I don't think there is anything wrong with going out with a male friend, but most people who are friendly tend to do so only in private. |

You made a good start going on the forums, perhaps you might want to look into some of the topics where you might find someone with similar interests to your own. That takes time and patience. Sometimes that is hard to maintain. Best Wishes.

Rooster you would have made a perfect bus driver. They are nice when they start, but then they get trained in spotting potential golddigers and turn cold. You would be surprised who likes to socialize with the guys when they make on average $18 to $20 an hour. When a bus driver makes it absolutely clear to you that he is a 'family man" even though you may not be encouraging him, he probably assumes you are a shady character trying to pick him up. If I could roll my eyes I would roll them at something like that.

I know an older man nearby who adores a younger woman and their association has been going on for years. They are both well educated in arts and history and such and connect on a few levels. That's why it's been going on for years. It is absolutely normal for them to go for coffee, lunch together and she has a boyfriend who takes care of the physical stuff.
It's great for a man's ego to have some good arm candy. Simple as that. |

I favor Big Bang Theory compilations, live news feeds, movie channels. The strangest things I get into are things concerning the Space X launches, APEX TV, Weird Entertainment about time travelers. My very fav channels involve the Big Bang compilations which tend to cheer me up.
