I AM THE KAREOKE QUEEN! I Love it! I even clap for the drunk guys and the groups of barbies who sing 'touch myself' for the thousandth time out of sync. I am a happy addict and i scare everyone when I get my big butt on stage and sing songs like 'Talk Dirty To Me' and 'Folsom Prison Blues'. I don't even need to drink. I quite honestly do not know how I made it through 26 years of no Karaoke. At least I have three years to cherish, and more to come! Glad to see I am not the only one addicted to Karaoke. I go 2-3 times a week! I also keep track of the songs I sing and try at least four new songs a week. I also make sure to get the show thirty minutes early, just so I can be at the top of the first rotation. Karaoke Queen..... Your my Hero! |

Oh gosh Jess i went to America and everything is already ready to eat, and the servings are huuuuuge like monstous, even the drinks are almost like barrells, just huge, and the supermarkets, everything is already made you just heat it up. so so so very strange, you hardly have to make anything, even the mashed potato is already mashed, so so strange. I know Josie...it's really quite sad, when you think about it...so far removed from the real, the organic, the natural...so disconnected from the whole process of food...energyless, unnatural, downright scary food!!! and more is not better!...wtf is that with 2 litre drink cups of fizzy chemial bound cane sugar artificial crap? I feel so sad for so many in the US...'convenience' with a shortened life additive... I am a Amercian Disastisfied with the trend of eating my country is on. Coffee for breakfast, Fast food for Lunch, and and all you can eat Buffet for Dinner. This is normal. At four to six small and balanced(protein source and source of Fiber) meals a day keeps my weight down and my energy up, and I have never counted calories. |

Why are you still Single?
|
|
I'm still single because of not telling people how I feel. Plus it is hard to trust anyone you meet in a Bar. I still go out every weekend for Karaoke and to hang out with Friends. Got to do something fun, that involves people.

I love karaoke! I do it like, every week, I sing the really girly songs though haha :) I like singing the Clash, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Cake, The Doors, The Yardbirds, Cream... just to name a few. I have sung some girly songs in the likes of Barbie Girl. I asked an Army buddy of mine who is eating sand for breakfast, if he was there to see me sing, what would he want me to sing, and Barbie Girl was his reply. It was a humbling experience, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I have sung "Girls Just Want to have Fun" and "Get this Party Started". |

Has any one on this site lightened their car by 500-1000lb in the efforts to make the car go faster? I know it destroys the value of a vehicle, but I am still curious about gutting a running used car one day like an older Camaro SS or a fox body Mustang 5.0 or GT. Gutting as in, removing back seat, front passenger seat, and A/C and Heater System, etc...

A Chick-fil-a sandwich, waffle fries and lemonaide! A spinach salad. Yum I often have a spinach salad when going out for Karaoke on the weekends. It sure beats iceberg based salads! |

I watched "Watchmen" for the first time. It was suprisingly a differnent kind of movie, in a good way. Darker and more thought provoking than most of the other DC comics movies. I did not recongnize any of the actors and actresses and that is a plus in my books!

From my own experience be a loner never helped my depression and social eixiety (aka being shy). I learned that people need people. Not just to hang out with that you glance at and say hi, but people you can talk to. Also instead of trying to find a friend, be a friend to a stranger. Have fun with your social outings, and improvise if you have to and don't be shy of your quirks, because that is the real you!

I saw Tron: Legacy this weekend. Being a huge fan of the original Tron and 82', I was not disapointed with the product. The timeline story wise was sound. Some of the elements of the story I will have to digest later on (a bit confusing). I enjoyed the themes of the movie, being the futility of seeking perfection, sacrifice, and the bond of a Father and a Son.
Another side note is that the original Tron was cutting edge for its day being the first to do a CG movie. It was a gamble than and did not make it very well in the theaters but became a cult classic later on. I think the oringal Tron was ment for or received best by a predominatly male crowd that also gets into Gaming/Programing/Computers/Electronics. In my opinion of course, the Tron: Legacy atempted to branch off to different interest such as the modern music from Daft Punk, The Dude(which Jeff Bridges was the Dude in the Orignal Tron before The Big Labowsky), and a lead female role. In addition, the technical language was limited. I did like the x,y, and z (aka 3d) axis grid races! All in all the sequal was a fun movie and I plan on watching it in theater again. The last time I saw a movie more than once in theater was for District 9. |

I bet Vick really likes the Bears! Time will tell. He is talented, yes. Exciting, yes. Consistant.......?????? Well, I'm from ATL. I remember when Vick was throwing for the Falcons. Granted we had no offensive line to speak of at the time. The Falcons got rid of talent and traded it for strong fundementals playing as a team. Guess its working for them.

I <3 karaoke(every1 asks why lol) but ye every thursday is my karaoke night soooo much fun! x Saturday and Sunday nights for me. It is only till 12am on Sunday, but it is crazier than my Saturday show which is more laid back. People I know outside of the bar have trouble believing I sing Karaoke and they always find an excuse not to go. I stopped asking, and just hang out with the partrons I see just about every weekend. It is Cake, Beck, and a bit of David Bowie this weekend! |

I saw Skyline. Intersting concepts, great spectial effects, and weak story. It was not the worst movie I have ever seen, but it was not great. I've been out of the loop for a bit. Anyone bummed that Caprica got can'd? Also, whats up with all the 2011 Sci Fi push in movies? There is Tron, Battlefield LA, Cowboys and Aliens, Source Code, and some cartoon movie. Jesus, I am not at all surprised that Caprica got canned. It took forever for some momentum to build up in the story. Caprica from my vantage point was not that bad and I will explain my case. Look at SG1, Babylon 5, Farscape, Star Trek TNG, and for that matter X-files. All those great long running Science Fiction shows had no momentum till season 2 or 3 of the show! After the re-boot of BSG everyone is up for fast instant gratification that they can enjoy with other shows currently on that already went through there rough first season. Perhaps that is why the crappy show SGU is still on. You can't tell me Firelfly was lacking in momentum, which was near a perfect show and canned in less than a season. It’s all about the money and not about content or pleasing the fans anymore. I was expecting to be disappointed with Caprica if I viewed them with my BSG goggles. It had a great amount of content to process, a great amount of drama, and no space action. With an open mind watching it, I realized the significance of the V world (what the cylons can still enter in BSG) and a further look at the division between Monotheism and Polytheism which was the same primary conflict in BSG. Caprica was best viewed as part of the big picture. I like that crappy SGU. I feel like shooting myself in the head when watching SGU, because it is so depressing to watch. Ok, I just miss Richard Dean Anderson at the helm! He lighted things up to a more enjoyable show. Once he backed out, SG1 well, was no were near as good. I wasn't expecting another SG-1 so I didn't mind that it had new characters, it was a spin-off like Deep Space 9 was to Star Trek. i wish they would bring DS9 back... I know my Trek, SGU is more like Star Trek Voyager. On a ship stuck imposibly far from home. Stargate Atlantis was like DS9 in that it was an alien post with humans on it. |
