Yep, and you learn when it's time to be independent and take care of things and when to break him back into regular life.......when my dad was overseas my mom had to take care of everything & make all the decisions....when my dad came back I'd automatically ask my mom if I could do something & she say "go ask your dad"...I'd go ask & he'd say.."go ask your mom"....lol Being in the middle was such a pain

It's still rainy season (got 6 inches at my house yesterday) so it'd be a little messy in the arena.

Continue to ask her out....if she continues to say yes...she's interested.

Yeah, even though my dad is retired navy I still refer to myself as a navy brat.

Went out with a few seal team members too and a girlfriend of mine was married to one so there were times when he had to just up & leave & she had no idea where he was or when he'd be back....but she knew that when she married him.

I think it's happened to all of us...male or female. One possibility could be that life has just taken over and things have become too hectic and since you're not really in a serious relationship it'll be the first thing to suffer.

It's also one of those (when still in the building stage) circumstances where distance & absence are harder to deal with. If you were already in a stable relationship & life started coming at ya, then you'd have this other person to call on....or they'd know enough to continue to initiate contact & come over, etc.

But with the internet, it's too easy to just back off & take care of what needs doing and never worry about the person you were talking to.

Sherry had sent me an email asking me if I wanted to "flip it" with her and I was sitting here thinking "flip what?"...Then it dawned on me she meant the thread. Oh well...lol

If he's gone to the efforts that he has to find you, I'm sure he'll want to keep you in his life. You'll just have to remember the type of man you're getting involved with & if you do get to the point of a serious relationship & marriage...you're marrying the service as well as the man.

My dad's a shellback....and so's my ex....I would hate to go through the crossing...lol
