A friend of mine thought he'd be helpful and set me up with a younger friend of his. This was a good 5-6 years ago I guess. Well his younger friend wasn't too experienced with the girls. My friend went into one of the bedrooms with me cousin and me and this guy were sitting on the couch. He asked for a kiss (a little strange to be asked, because usually if a guy is feeling it or whatever he'll atleast move in a little closer). I'm not exaggerating when I say it was like kissing a slobbering St. Bernard. Afterwards, he asked if we could kiss again, I told him not right now. Needless to say, we didn't see each other again.

In what world do a teacher make that much money?????? That seems way to high. That's after you have been teaching for 30 years or more. I know there are some starting salaries in Texas that are $42,000 - $45,000. It really depends on the cost of living in the area you live. |

Thanks for the email sites. I think between watching the movies and websites, I might be able to keep so of the information straight.
Lilith, I will let you know. It will probably be next week though. But I will definitely let you know. |

Don't everyone stone me at once! But while that was very sweet and incredibly generous...she did not win the race. Though she may be faster by a long shot, following the rules is a part of winning the race. Just to relate it to something I'm more familiar with... I watch my godson wrestle all the time and even when the ref calls it wrong and the other kid admits it...it's just sucked up as being part of the sport. Even at national levels. So, I guess I'm just used to THAT attitude being good sportsmanship and not giving up medals to those who technically got pined just cause you know he's normally the better wrestler. Isn't the competition what makes it a sport after all? Just how I see it. I am very glad there are kids sweet enough to be so giving at their own expense though...don't get me wrong. I tend to agree with you. I think a better example of sportsmanship was when the two players of the opposing softball team carried the other player around the bases after she hit a homerun but couldn't run the bases because of a knee injury. Their actions contributed to their team not making the playoffs. The whole story is at http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/24392612/ |

Good idea, as long as you aren't basing too much on what people say in these forums since most of the time we're just being silly. You could always post this again with a title of STAR WARS ADVICE NEEDED or something to that effect so all the lil star wars people will crawl outta the woodwork and help with more info. Your title probably didn't grab a lot of their attention. Good luck with all that and thanks for not getting snippy about my post. lol I ended up watching Episodes 1 and 2 already. I could have put a more catchy title, but I wasn't really thinking at the time I originally posted it. Not really sure I'm thinking much at 2am either. |

My question is, why are you working at a space camp, showing sci-fi movies if you don't even want to watch the movies to answer any questions? Teachers are supposed to research and make lesson plans. I'd suggest you do the same. Believe me I know all too well about researching and lesson plans. To answer the question, we aren't showing the movies, just one camp uses the background info as the basis of the camp. Again, only after training did I know all the camp teachers will end up teaching this camp. The lessons/activities are already planned for all the summer camps so the counselors/teachers don't make lesson plans or schedules (very unlike other summer programs/schools I've worked at. I am working at this camp this year because I figured it would be a learning experience for me. I would get new ideas for future classroom use (that's where research comes in). They've actually have power points for us, just haven't given us the hard copies yet to get familiar with the information. I figured I would use this site to get a little research in about what others got from the movies. |

I love you will you marry me. Awww, how sweet. I am a geeky girl, huh? I just love Star Wars. Lord of the Rings... you know. I am secretly hoping that a new Flash Gordon is coming out. I have a little fantasy of that movie. I might need to start a sex thread, on that note. When I saw Ms. Wendy here wanted to cheat I did get a bit sick. I'm so glad she is grabbing this by the Ja Ja Binks ears, so to speak. Or one of Princess Padme Amidala's headpieces? Ok so I saw Episodes 1 and 2..tomorrow is Episode 3... new week I'll get 4-6. Not sure how much I'll actually retain, but they're not bad movies. I Binks... annoying but cute |

You really do have to watch them to be question-ready, but these sites may help with the basics. . . http://www.starpulse.com/Movies/Star_Wars/Summary/ IMDB has a summary for each movie: http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0076759/plotsummary http://us.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=starwars There's also a decent overview on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_wars GoodLuck . . . or May The Force Be With You! Thanks! I ended up getting pizza and renting Episodes 1-3. guess it's a Blockbuster night tonight |

Ummmm... not really. You need to watch them. Really. They are well worth the time. You don't need to watch all six, just the first three that were made. (Not first three as in episode numbers, but in years released). I got a bit sick thinking of summarizing them in posts. All I can think is how do you get Jabba the Hut, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, the ewoks, C3-PO, etc... into any sort of a post that makes sense??? To compare, you are asking for someone to outline the Illyiad for you in five pages. Or condense Gone With The Wind into two hours... Impossible. I was told that I should watch atleast the last three that were released because they kids would be more familar with those. I just need to know characters, key events, just basic stuff. |

A little background info. I'm working at a summer space camp and one of the camps deals with Star Wars. My problem is I have never seen the movies and I really don't wanna watch all of them. I just need a little background information in case some of the students don't know anything about Star Wars or if one has a question. Can someone give me a brief summary, name of the planets and who lives there, and some information on the characters.

There was one with me when a one armed guy with no license and no insurance t-boned me on the northwest side of Houston. After spinning around 3-4 lanes of traffic, I ended up near the front steps of a Spanish church.
