Opinions are great and all and if you don't want to back them up with facts, that's your choice. But you can't expect someone to take everything you say seriously if you can't support anything. Jeez. Like I said, no one really knows the facts. I don't care if you don't take me seriously. This is a freakin date site for petes sake. I'm more interested in others' thoughts and opinions rather than spending time reading links that you consider "facts". |

I could never understand the logic of somebody living one step away from the poor house railing against a government program designed to help them get better health care. Who's near the poorhouse here? Why the *** do I want socialized healthcare? Why should the unemployed pedophile be entitled to the same quality of care as myself, an employed tax-payer offering much more to society? And I have to subsidize HIS care with my tax dollars? Hell no. |

I don't see that many questions coming from you. I see statements and your opinions. You are new to this forum and since it already has its quota of leftists that post the same stuff you do, I find it pointless to continually debate the progressive agenda ad nauseam. Being "new" has nothing to do with it. I'm just trying to talk to a liberal without having links thrown at me. But yes you are right, current events does warrant some convo. But you tell me, as I stated, experts' "evidence" is merely a story with their opinion thrown in. That's a really good point. There's much talk these days about how our educational system does not teach critical thinking. Separating the facts from the spin. I think it's something to be concerned about. I expect that the content that I get from my liberal sources is going to include a certain amount of spin. That's why I don't ordinarily use them as source authorities. I prefer to verify the facts that underlie the opinions they express and see if my opinion aligns with their's.
With the help of such resources as mediamatters.org and snope's.com, I have many time attempted to go through the same process with Conservative sources like Limbaugh and Hannity (I don't consider Beck worth paying any attention to). It's difficult to find a fact. BTW, there is a great old movie called "A Face in the Crowd' that I think goes a long way to explain Glen Beck. Here's sending you a nice snuggle. Beck IMO is nothing more than an investigative journalist. Truth be known I don't watch Fox news. Hannity is annoying. But I do listen to Limbaugh and if you really pay attention he's only stating his opinion as well. I would never want him in the White House, I'm not a Tea Party person, and I watch Anderson Cooper for my info. I form my opinion from there. I also dig Eric Clapton. |

Ecstatic? Not exactly. I think it's a dangerous time. It could go really, really badly, or it could end up really, really well. I'm hopeful. (This is just my opinion with no sources. See how unimpressing that is?)

You don't need links to support your thoughts. Regarding Egypt, the protestors have clearly stated that they "hate America". What we will have is another extreme Islamic country wanting to do away with Israel. Mubarak kept that peace treaty intact in '79, I'm very worried for Egypt. That peace treaty is nothing more than a rumor in coming months. There's not much to see on my profile. But yes that was a compliment. And you're welcome and thank you also.
