Why would he want to look in forums other than Oregon if he's wanting to meet someone from here? But if that's not the only reason and he'd like to see more talking going on then yeah, looking in other forums is a good idea.

seriously I do ... drinking causes problems. So this is what im looking for a ltr with a cool small petite lady who likes to smoke or is ok with it. Im wishing to start a family and move out of portland soon. I work as a Dialysis tech , I will be a nurse soon. I ride a mountain bike to work and bake so Im getting into shape kinda fast. My biggest turn off is dishonesty. I dont do games either so be yourself and just be real... Ride and bake eh?

is it because we are all ashamed of Oregon... or just our mayor? I am ofkay with being an oregonian but where are all the PDX people writing? I am out here and filtering out the smokers and coming out empty lists.... is oregon really that depressing that everyone smokes? Am I alone in the quest for a non-hippie in Portland? I'm not a hippie but I smoke. I don't chain-smoke and won't do it on a date or hanging out if the other person's a non-smoker, because I don't need to do it that badly. I guess I smoke on my own time, when I feel like it. ::shrugs:: |

I'm not really sure what people are looking for as far as rating their profile, since we can't dress them up and decorate them like a Myspace or Fubar page, or sites like that. It's just a template that you can't change; everyone's gonna have the same things: pictures, text and stats about themselves. I guess people just want reassurance and a little ego boost?
Although I guess if they have little or no information, it would help to tell them to add something. Or maybe if it's really long, suggest editing it some. |

The first pic is a good first one to have, very pretty. Sounds like you know what you want, all the information is good. One last thing: if you want a guy to go see a chick flick with you, you should be willing to go see an action, sci-fi or horror with him...it's only fair. Either that or compromise like my last g/f and I did, and see things we'd both have an interest in. But yep, the profile looks good.

LOL yeah, that would be true if 40 is the minimum age we're talking about here. I think 40 is just a baseline age she was mentioning. Like, only guys 40+ have shown interest. With that in mind, my suggestion is to put an age range on your profile, such as "Interested in guys 27-37." |

I was once told by some person online that you should have a picture with your body cut off for the main pic. Then the next step is to take that picture and make sure it has your whole body on it. So then you have 2 pics, really you should only need one with your whole body. Then add 4 or 5 more... I have found that when people put pics of them in the bars, at least for me that's one big turn off. Its not that fact that their drinking but it does make ya seem to be hooked on the bar scene. To each their own! I totally feel you, pictures in bars or with drinks in hand or looking hung over,,,all a turn off for me. I am glad people post them though, we should all represent our REAL interests and hobbies in our profile so we dont waste anyone else's time. I actually have a collection of funny/freaky looking people...some of them are in a bar with a huge glass of beer, ready to slug it down. Or chicks that have tanned wayyyy too much. All kinds of stuff. They're hilarious! |
