People believe “what” they believe based on life experiences. Their perception is altered by many different factors including geography., parents upbringing, parents lack of upbringing etc etc!!! Depending what a person experiences in there life gives them “facts “ to make a decision or belief I agree but add to that the fact that people also have an imagination. Imagination also plays a part in what people believe and its just as valid as perception and experience in that sense. I think it is a good thing that people believe different things because the different perspectives add to each other. Conformity is a good exercise because it confirms the meaning of an experience, making it possible to communicate with more meaning. It is good as long as one stays safe. Conformity is useful for empathy. Imagine trying to communicate with a fish. If you move your fingers like fins, then it will get excited and spread it's fins out, wiggling them. Empathy establishes definitions that give more to think about, talk about, and form the basis of relationships with. Conformity in religion should be like looking at artwork, it should not be a means of eliminating church member's freedom. If the church worships the church, not God, that is idolatry. Inner strength is good, but outward oppression is evil. If one communicates with people different from the self, then they will increase their awareness of new ideas not yet put into words. There are always new ideas to think about and build on, to look forward to. The reason why I follow my religion is because it is an important part of who I am. |

Whatever happens to different lives and different religions, the truth will always be there. To believe is to live.

Thanks Arf that's a lot of good information. Are you studying this stuff in school or on your own? Haha, well when I am at the gym I am always overhearing conversations of physical trainers and people interested in improving their health, and I get interested in what I hear and read the background scientific research online for fun. I have facts, observations, and ideas, but you will have to look to Blondie for the professional advice. Thanks for sharing your story and I hope you achieve your next goal in life. |

Fat produces ketones when is used up for energy. Ketones are an antioxidant, preventing cell DNA damage and aging.
It is not healthy to despise yourself in the meantime while you are losing weight. Also, exercise produces endorphins which have a narcotic effect, so enjoy the ride. Keep us updated, and I would recommend allowing a year at1/2 lb/week instead of November, because that is what the bodybuilders do in order to not lose any muscle/nerves/bone strength when they are on their cut workout season, but if you get results in the beginning naturally just take it as a freebee. Be aware that considerable fluctuations come from hydration levels. Yogurt with live Lactobacillus acidophilus cultures (in the ingredients) is helpful for getting good microbiota started. Greek yogurt is especially good because of less natural sugar content. Added sugar can be sneaky, avoid it like the plague; keep natural macronutrients relatively balanced in respective quantity. Good physical health will probably come before most of the weight loss happens, making the rest easier. Get a physical trainer to write you a number of 1-hr calisthenic workout regimens entirely for portable exercise equipment or what ever you have available to use on your own, and rotate them each workout. Walking is good too, especially if it is brisk and an hour each day, in addition to the calisthenics. These are just ideas, use at your discretion. I think it is hot that you are emotionally strong through all of this. |

Concerts are a compelling media for artistic expression. Just remember to bring hearing protection in case they have the music too loud. I did lose hearing for certain tones at one of them one time. Usually I get recordings of them online.
Sorry *thread bump* |

Just be careful, too loud music does damage hearing, which is not cool.

Symbiotic bacteria

The culture of symbiotic bacteria is integral to one’s physical and psychological health. Bad bacteria can cause anxiety disorder, bad attitude, etcetera. How would one cultivate beneficial bacteria in order to reach their highest potential? I know the Hawaiians included the spit of the prettiest women on the volcanic island like hot sauce, but maybe it is better to work out in the gym after the most healthy and intellectual people have been in the space. Just some ideas.
I was walking in a cornfield, got sick a few days later from a deer tick bite, and the doctor prescribed an antibiotic that is normally used for ehrlichiosis, Lyme disease, or what ever else, so every bacteria is going to get wiped out, so I was just pondering the thought. |

BBW SUPREMACY

BBW SUPREMACY... What do You think?
I think it's kind of an oxymoron. Like jumbo shrimp. Although, maybe it's just "telling." "Supremacy" means superior to everyone and anything else. They're obviously not superior in the self discipline and control category. And that tends to be a trait of insecure people. People that are insecure tend to feel helpless to control themselves, especially internally/emotionally/mentally, so they have to create external illusions that hide that fact and make up for their failings, external trappings and behavior that validate they do have something they don't really, that they can't live up to outside of the bubble they create. Can't stop eating, worried about appearance, worried about what others think? Well, don't stop eating, adopt some outlandish outfit or personality, control the bubble of influence, control who you interact with at all costs and make sure it's only those that are easily controlled and validate what you want to feel is true. So they create an illusion of "supremacy" then seek out those that will validate it. Kind of like cult leaders and weak religious figures. They don't have to think about what they believe or live by any rules they want to exist but can't enforce and are mostly about their selfish emotional fulfillment, they just get weak willed people that need simple validation to get into a fervor that will do it for them for the sake of acceptance, belonging, routine, structure, and purpose. A specious facade that has the potential for dangerous consequences. That's what I think of "BBW Supremacy." Health, security, and relationships are important. |

No, attraction is not a matter of bigotry. Take a situation I give you a hug as a fellow soul. If you take that to mean something sexual, that is presumptuous. If you reject the love, that is bigotry.

I have nothing against socialist entities within an individualist, capitalist government, as long as they do not oppress others on the outside. The groupthink enables a sense of purpose more than the pursuit of self determined values enabled by capitalism, and a sense of belonging. Also, such entities are have much more meaningful common vision if they are limited in size to the extent that everyone knows more that 50% of the people there. During college I lived in a tiny city with an essentially communist local government, within a republican county consisting of farmland and forested mountains, with scattered businesses and farm owners. There was something remarkable about the community there. The relationships become high quality in understanding, which lead to developing better communication skills, and "character" as a member of the group. People looked for a release from the unity in different ways, to balance out life, by imagination and pondering new ideas somewhat anonymously at meetings and in the newspaper (student operated), as well as following self-sufficient endeavors. People learn to appreciate each other, as the serious work is done on the same team. For those who acquired more technical capacity to effectively achieve the end goals, their opinions typically had more weight; however, whoever cared the most also played in to how values were prioritized. Groupthink is only one side of life, though. It is important to be secure independently and be able to think for your self, and that is where the overarching capitalist government enables the country to thrive with more diversified businesses than anarchy with just self-sufficient farms who don't care about cash anyway, and prevents National communist oppression of dreams of the people. Thriving comes from the freelancing entity or individual freelancer.
