The meds worry me as you say you had stopped taking them and then began again.. That is not good.. Perhaps that is part of your problem. There is a way to stop taking medications (and that is gradually) and also a way to get back on them. And, your body can change between those times so now they may not be what you need. Please consult the doctor that prescribed these to you and check it out. My friends are all married or younger than me so I know what you mean about not having any friends. I have them, just dont have anything in common with them. Don't mean to get religious here but maybe going to church would help. You would meet many new people and maybe help with your feelings too. And volunteer work is great, but, really attempt to find a paying job. That, in itself, helps a person feel appreciated and you meet new people besides having a little money to spend on things you want. Glad to hear that you go to the gym.. That helps with depression too.. I have found many friends on this site and, when I am feeling all alone, there is always someone on here that feels the same or has been through the same and understands and makes me feel better... Try the game site, that is fun and it helps take your mind off yourself for awhile. And, pets always make you feel wanted and happy so get a pet..Do hope you get help and remember, everyone on this site (well, almost everyone) is here to help you...

Oh Marie - I am so sorry to read what you are going through with your Dad..It has to be horrible for him and his family.. I will remember you in my prayers tonight. My Mom was very sick and I just sat there watching her and talking to her and finally, I went to the chapel at the hospital and prayed that she would taken.. I felt kind of guilty but she passed that night and had no more pain and I know she is at peace now.. Please keep us posted about your Dad.. Again, so sorry to hear that he is not doing well...

PA drivers just keep the pedal to the metal regardless of the road conditions and "don't get in their way" !!! I won't ride with my daughter or granddaughter.. Or is it just me?

Geez - everybody's dinner sounds great...
I put a chicken on a rotisserie - smothered in Italian dressing and made a salad.. It was good too - but my favorite would be the steak.. |

WOW - fudge sounds good... Getting together with my girls on Sunday and making cookies and peanut butter balls... When my mother was living, she baked and made candy for a month before Christmas...Unfortunatly some of it was very stale when Christmas came but we all still enjoyed it and Mom was so happy and proud that she had done it all... When she became unable to do that anymore, her nurse would make them (under my Mom's supervision that is)... Her special was the peanut butter balls and my girls learned how to make them from the best and they carry the tradition on to this day. I guess I am a little nostalgic because my Mom died 12 years ago tomorrow and her birthday was December 17.. So, every Christmas brings many fond memories and sadness too..

I remember when I was young ( a long time ago ) - a child had to work to earn a few cents to get what they wanted at the store..Now, it is uncommon to see kids actually put themselves out for someone or something...I see disrespect to their elders and irresponsibility. In the parents I see working mothers and fathers with no time to spend to sit down to dinner as a family or attend the many activites their child is in (if they are lucky and want to actually participate in curricular activities). Money was short when I was a child but now it is shorter and children are lazier..
