I'm a Conservative.

That doesn't make me a warmonger.
That doesn't make me a homophobe.
That doesn't make me a self hating homosexual.
It doesn't make me a bigot.
It doesn't make me a fascist.
It doesn't make me unsimpathetic to those less fortunate than myself.

It just makes me a Conservative.

Does all this make me a bad guy?

only when you impose your values and beliefs on me...do what you want with your life, let me do what I want with mine...

You aren't an American. You can do whatever Argentinian law allows you to do.

Yeah, but see, they don't see it that way. If something is wrong in their life, they have to blame America and responsible, hardworking Americans. That's the way it works.

Silly me! Sorry, I forgot for a moment that the US is the great evil of the world...... unless they are begging for money from the great satan, but their hatred subsides long enough for the cash transfer.

"We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. When the loyal opposition dies, I think the soul of America dies with it."

How is dissent working for you folks in Argentina?

I don't watch Fox.

OK. I accept it's purely coincidence you echo Faux. You smear those with opposing opinions like them too. Is that coincidence?

It appears to me that if you can't argue a point your trump card is to claim that a person's opinion is simply parroted from the television and not their own opinion.

I simply said Moore has an agenda, just like Faux. Then I got jumped on over semantics.

Not jumping on you learner, just wondering why you claim that I am parroting what I see on Fox news when I don't even watch it and why it seems that you use "Faux" news as a neener neener tactic. Yes I agree that Fox has an agenda and that is why I don't watch it as well as CNN except that it is force fed to me at my gym. Thank God for iPods.
You chose to ignore the fact that we are a Representative Republic and quickly accused me of being a Fox and Hannity mouthpiece.
I do not listen to Rush, Coulter, Franken, Moore etc. because, whether they share any of my views or not, they are all entertainers and I find their brand of entertainment to be less than gratifying.

This is typical of them on this board. They read only what they want to read, and then make attacks. I've had every liberal on this board call me a Bush supporting neocon, yet every other post in this forum of mine is a Bush bash. Since I don't like Obama, socialism, or lazy poor people, they just call you a name saying you watch Fox News/support Bush/warmongerer/neocon/etc.

No critical thought processes with these people at all.

That is the point I was trying to make albeit much more eloquently stated. Thanks. drinker

This is tantamount to the slander that took place about my governor here in Florida. Liberals had no problem insisting he was gay because of his lack of a spouse; then their idiocy ended in light of his recent marriage. Besides, I thought liberals were the tolerant ones?

Is there such a thing as a tolerant hypocrite? what

She claims to be a Russian expert but her command of the language was recently exposed as being basic/ elementary level on a Russian radio programme, just as her grasp of what is going on in Russia today seems beneath the informed blogger level.

Well. In this situation i'm on Condy's side. Her Russian is pretty good for a person who is not using it constantly. And it is close to impossible to know other's country affair without paying attention only to that country. I know a lot of russian-speaking jews who have been living in USA more than ten years, but they know about US less than Condy about Russia.

Moreover, Russian have not one, final and static point of view on their country affairs. For example you can find a lot of Russian who are on the side of Georgia. (Ut need to say what most of them are Jews, but they used to speak about themselves as Russians).

this from a Russian not the state run newspaper.

Uh, No? You smear people with opposing ideas. Does that mean you watch CNN? I don't watch cable news other than when I am at the gym and they have CNN on all of the time. I watch local news before I hit the sack each night. Why do you insist on having such a narrow minded view that anyone who has an opposing view must surely watch Fox? It appears to me that if you can't argue a point your trump card is to claim that a person's opinion is simply parroted from the television and not their own opinion. Very sad. Try this one next time you get in a debate: If and when you feel that you aren't able to convert the person to your point of view, simply say that you agree to disagree. Anything beyond that is a control issue. Not a quality you want to advertise on a dating site.

Condoleeza Rice Stupid?
By Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey
PRAVDA.Ru
8-16-8

Has the US Secretary of State got her cassette stuck? For a week now she has been reiterating the same phrase "Russian forces must leave Georgia now" and for a week now the world has been informed of Georgian war crimes against Russians in Ossetia. The war crimes happened, the Russians call the shots now, Ms. Rice. Like it or lump it.

Is Condoleeza Rice stupid? OK her boss is, we all know that and that's why nobody pays any attention to what he says or if they do, it is to have a good laugh at how such an imbecile could supposedly rule the roost in Washington (when everyone knows it is Cheney and his energy and arms lobbies). So Bush gets a discount, like the uncle that farts at family dinners, like the retarded nephew who belches swearwords after his third litre of Coke, like the simpleton that sits outside the church on Sundays begging for money informing everyone that he is an astronaut on Thursday afternoons.

Is Condoleeza Rice stupid? She claims to be a Russian expert but her command of the language was recently exposed as being basic/ elementary level on a Russian radio programme, just as her grasp of what is going on in Russia today seems beneath the informed blogger level.

Is Condoleeza Rice stupid? How can this female purport to broker events between an evil regime in Tblisi supported by her own evil regime in Washington, and Russia, while not mentioning one single time the war crimes committed by Georgia against Russian peacekeepers and civilians?

So we come to the conclusion that she is either stupid, or incompetent, or downright evil. If she didn't know about Georgia's war crimes, when everyone else did, she is incompetent (as she proved as National Security Advisor during 9/11). If she knows about the war crimes and fails to mention them, as Secretary of State, she is plain stupid and if she purposefully covers them up, maybe because her own armed forces were involved, then she is one evil piece of work, as many of us suspected all along.

Is Condoleeza Rice stupid?

Or incompetent?

Or just plain evil?

Democracy or Representative Republic is splitting hairs just a bit, isn't it? At the local level, some even participate in town meetings.

As for your opinions aligning with FoxNoise, they do.

I don't watch Fox. As far as THEIR views aligning with MINE, I can't help that if they do. Apparently you must watch them or how would you know? Am I to assume that your views are formulated by reading communist papers or viewing their telecasts? Nope. That would be an idiotic assumption on my part as it is on yours. I assume that you formulate your opinions from all angles including attitudes adopted from your parents and so on as you matured. You own them and you can change them if you wish. Same as me or anyone else. To make a comment that someone who walks lock step with the opinions of a cable news station is tantamount to calling someone an idiotic imbecile, well below your intelligence which in fact results in showing your ignorance and elitism. I sincerely hope that is not your goal.

Splitting hairs? Do you really think so? You might want to check your statement. Although our government might seem to be run by a mob, we are not ruled by the majority. We may have a system that is a democracy in some regards it is in fact a representative republic and.... All stand:
"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all."

No matter how you go about it Michael Moore is a greedy sensationalist. Here is a man that makes his money, and profits off of other people's misery. He uses his tactics to show only one side of a story (his) never offers a counter arguement and parades himself like a self appointed "watchdog." He invades people's privacy and calls it "artistic liscence." He is the worst kind of politician, one that will spout off his mouth, but do nothing, including run for office. He does this because he knows he'd get his @55 handed too him by the voting public.

sounds like Rush, Hannity, Coulter, et all...sooooo...whats your point?...spock its a different point of view supported by people who think like him and agree with him..

You are absolutely correct and there is someone out there that will believe the sensationalism of the herder/entertainer that they are the sheep for as if it were fact. See Miguel's post for illustrated example. There are even some that still follow Elvis as if he were God.drinker
Here's a hint: Enjoy them for their entertainment value but remember to check the head lemmings statements out before following them over the cliff.

Even tho he's a liar...right? LOL

A different perspective than that spewed on FauxNews of course makes him a liar to the Hannity drones...

Even your illustrious leader and idol, Michael Moore (aka Mikhail the odiferous)stated that he bent the truth and added, as truth, what was debatable, peaking interest for the sake of entertainment. Why is it that you accuse everyone who has views differing from yours to be a drone, follower, in lock step, whatever, of FOX news? That would be akin to me stating that you do not have a penis, which:
A. I do not know whether or not you have a penis
B. I do not want to know
C. I would not make that claim since I don't know you
For me to say that you don't have a penis would be equally as ridiculous as you calling me or anyone else a drone of Hannity when you haven't the slightest idea where someone gets their news. For example, where did you get that the US is a democracy? You should investigate that news source for further errors instead of parroting what you are told.
Just a thought. drinker

A real conservative doesn't believe in spending money shamelessly like this administration has done.

Billions of dollars of hard-earned money wasted and still spending.

Good thing we have the Chinese to act as our bankers.

Then when I hear the Shrub criticizing China's human rights record or Russia going into South Osetia it makes me laugh.

He couldn't do anything about either of those things if he wanted to.

It's like a toothless lion roaring at a hyena with a full set of fangs.

So would you rather have him say nothing at all since he supposedly can't do anything about China or Russia? Nah, you were one of the those who were *****!ing at the onset before he said anything that he didn't say anything.

I don't think being critical of things like some gun issues, the lying that occurred before Iraq and the inequity in our health care system means someone "hates his country." Dissent is mandatory in a Democracy.

Democracy? We are a Representative Republic. Who told you we were a Democracy? Those in the majority would wish it to be so but the minority would be screwed.
