[lilott you silver tongued devil.] when you are really ready you will do it. two years ago I lost 100 lbs and I have kept it off. but there is no magic to it. so many people asked me if it was dieting or exercise, you can't choose just one. I started out by cutting out almost all carbs because that jumpstarts the process and gives you rapid results you can see and be motivated by then I joined the local rec center and started my love/hate relationship with the treadmill that endures to this day. But understand you have to be highly motivated because there is no destination it has to become a lifelong commitment. Also if there is underlying emotional or self esteem issues weight loss will help but by no means cure these. Overeaters anonynmous or a twelve step program(if applicable) is free and can be a lifesaver. Above all adress it while you are young with lots of energy it only gets more difficult and while it is mainly a cosmetic issue now it can creep up a few lbs a year and become a serious health and quality of life issue.
