God Is Nigh In the stillness of the night, As the moon spreads its silvery beams, A battle-weary soldier spills out his plight To the One who intervenes. ![]() Death has come to many a friend. ![]() The struggles try his soul. ![]() Will this war never end? ![]() It has certainly taken its toll. ![]() "Lord, guide my steps and keep us safe ![]() As the bullets start to fly. ![]() I'll trust you, Lord. Increase my faith; ![]() Oh, may it never die!" ![]() His prayer ended, he breathes a sigh He knows the night will be long. But he takes comfort, Knowing God is nigh, ![]() And patiently waits for dawn. By Christine Kidd <<< God Bless Our Troops >>> ![]() |

As a member of the US Army, i just wanted to say thanks so much for starting this thread. it means alot to me when i stumble across someone who is so grateful for what we do. finding things like this in the most random places make me and my buddies so proud to be doing what we are. : ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
