You're assuming that the women not interested in you are intimidated by your intelligence. Do you make room for the possibility that it might be something else? (I didn't read the entire thread, so I apologize for any repeats).


Intelligence is manifested in many ways, not just academically. Some people show their intelligence through wit, some show intelligence through their ability to read people, some show it through their successful social interractions. Some people are intelligent in their choices to post or refrain from posting on a certain topic and some people have the ability to wax philosophically about all manner of minutia and make it entertaining (a quality that I admire in others).

There ARE great profiles that are cleverly written, yet still spelled correctly! And I think that when people claim to want a partner who is intelligent, they don't just mean philosphically...I think most people would prefer a well-rounded form of intelligence. I place intelligence high on my list of dating requirements, but I don't want a brainiac who lacks a sense of humor and social skills.
